Playoffs - Two week playoff matchups.
This feature would allow commissioners to implement 2 week long playoff matchups for their league. For example, in a 4 team playoff, the first round of the playoffs would run for weeks 14 and 15 and then the Championship would be weeks 16 and 17. Currently, this feature is not available to commissioners.

YES Please do this! AGREE 100%. The playoffs should be total points based. The cumulative scoring winner for the two playoff weeks combined should be the Champion.

In our league we would like to keep head to head during the regular season but make it a two week playoff based on points alone. This will eliminate a team being penalized for having a bad fist round of the payoffs. Also eliminating a scenario where one team makes it to the Super Bowl winning 80-72 vs the other game finishing 156-142. Its not fair that a team who scores 142 gets eliminated and a team that scores 82 advances to the Super Bowl. Can this be done now with the Reseeding Option or do you have to go to Points instead of head to head for the whole season?

Please allow leagues to have the option of having a 2 wk final (wk16 and wk17). Preferably a scenario in which it is a 12 team league with 6 playoff teams, top 2 get a bye and playoffs starting in wk 14. For our league, we would prefer a wk16 and wk17 finals because we believe it brings relevance to week 17. By forcing the championship general managers to scramble for players to fill their roster that have players resting on week 17 in preparation for real time playoffs, this may represent aspects of skilled general manager maneuverings in less than ideal situations. This eliminates the "luckiness" aspect of a one of wk16 win. I know this line of thinking isn't for all but just allows us the option to have a 2 wk championship in a 6 team playoff with a week 14 playoff start.

Just have a week shorter in the season and have the 2 week final weeks 15 and 16.

Yahoo - please fix this. We have been waiting for this basic improvement for years.

Can something please be done about this? This is a basic feature that we have been waiting for for years now.

Agreed! This is so important to have as an OPTION.
We play H2H for 20+ weeks and then top seeds are eliminated after one poor week in the playoffs. It needs to be longer!
It could very easily be programmed as an option!

I see that Yahoo automatically made Week 24 into a two-week final (3/26 to 4/7). However, this includes the last week of the NHL season (first week of April).
Can you please include an option to change this? It would be preferable to allow league owners the choice on when they want their two-week championship because my league wants a two-week final but for it to run Week 23 thru Week 24 (3/19-4/1) in order to avoid that first week of April when NHL teams begin to rest or shut down players.Alternatively, you only provide a two-week championship option when you select to begin playoffs in Week 22 rather than the Week 21, Week 22, Week 23/24 format I've suggested.
It would be a simple change, just write the code to include a separate option on if leagues want a two-week championship round. If Yes, they can select which dates and then the playoff format can adjust to that selection. Or include a few different default options like you do now.

Was looking for fantasy hockey engineering forum but alas.
Can we please adjust our playoff settings to create a two-week championship round (combining weeks 23 and 24)?
There is no option to do this despite popular support. Why? -

I believe what is being asked for here is the option for a two-week final (could be Weeks 15 & 16, if one doesn't want to use Week 17). I'm sure other sites have that option, and Yahoo! uses such format as the default in its baseball head-to-head leagues (Weeks 25-26). I just wonder why Yahoo! doesn't offer a two-week final even as an option for their head-to-head football leagues.

Fantrax, ESPN...these sites allow playoff rounds to be two weeks long. Fantrax allows that OR roto weeks...2, 3, 4, etc. Also Fantrax allows double headers every week.
Yahoo has great interface that is friendly and preferred to most. But to the more advanced users, the lack of flexibility w/ scheduling is brutal. One week playoffs should be a thing of the late 90['s. Yahoo...be the change that is direly needed. Please!!!

Using week 17 is a terrible option in any format, since most teams will be out of the playoff hunt and just wanting to finish the season without getting anyone hurt.

My buddy played in an ESPN league with this playoff setup and Id like yahoo to allow for this option as well.
How I want to do it is week 15 the semi finals, week 16/17 part 1 and part 2 of the finals. What do you think about that?? Even if you don't like it shouldn't we at least have the option so people who do like it can choose it?

Yeah I 2nd that, I was going to post a comment similar to this. However I only want it for the finals. However there should be an option to so the same for the semi-finals if that's what you want.

For all playoff matches, there should be an option for them to be 2-weeks long. This would ensure a game wasn't just a one-time win. ESPN has this option and it works very well.

Yes! 1000% agree. Just moved to Yahoo from ESPN this year and it's absolutely ridiculous that this isn't an option. You should also be able to have 5 teams out of 10 make the playoffs with a first round BYE to the top seed.

ESPN (among many other sites) offers an option where playoff matchups can last two weeks instead of 1, and the cumulative score after both weeks determines the winner.
