An error occurred while saving the comment Anonymous commentedIn public and Pro leagues, there are position limits.
In private leagues, it is left up to the commish to control.
An error occurred while saving the comment Anonymous commentedInterestingly enough......this has been done for public leagues. The max for each position was rolled out late last week.
An error occurred while saving the comment Anonymous commentedYou can create this rule today and enforce it using your commish tools, edit rosters, by removing "excess" players from the current rosters.
An error occurred while saving the comment Anonymous commentedThe commish can create a league rule with caps for position, and then drop players from the roster's of teams violating the rules by using commish tool Edit Rosters, and the commish can impose penalties up to and including locking the team of the violator.
An error occurred while saving the comment Anonymous commentedGeorge, public league, no commish.
An error occurred while saving the comment Anonymous commentedThe commish needs to step up. The commish as the ability to delete players from rosters. What can be done is if a player exceeds 3 QBs, he has to tell the commish which to drop or the commish will bench his entire team until they respond by dropping a QB themselves or telling the commish which QB to delete.

An error occurred while saving the comment Anonymous commentedSo your player plays in a game. So what is the issue?
The team manager makes that decision, not Yahoo!
An error occurred while saving the comment Anonymous commentedRosters lock for the day at the beginning of the first game. The changes required to make substitutions for the 2nd game would conflict with the platform of the game.

An error occurred while saving the comment Anonymous commentedI believe you are referring to the info that is in the weekly team report card when you are talking about the all play record. That data is provided by a 3rd party package and is used for the report card only, it does not feed data back into the game.

An error occurred while saving the comment Anonymous commentedThere has never been a consolation bracket for the 8 team option. You may be thinking of the 6x6 format.
An error occurred while saving the comment Anonymous commentedPPR scoring is available for private leagues. There is no such thing as a PPR league on Yahoo!, but PPR scoring is available as an option to the commish.

An error occurred while saving the comment Anonymous commentedSo for offensive pass interference, we take yardage and points away?
An error occurred while saving the comment Anonymous commentedUh.....no
**** teams and great weather teams would have a huge advantage over non-**** and bad weather teams, like Cleveland. Touchbacks have become the norm, not the exception in the NFL. Why reward for meeting expectations?
The fact the team, not the kicker, got the ball down to the 1 yard line, then downed the ball 3 times to force the other team to use their time outs before their own kicker makes an extra point length FG to win the game, is not worthy of extra points.
A kicker making a tackle is not encouraged in pro football and should not be rewarded.
On side kicks are typically not recovered by the kicker, but of a member of the kicking team. If you reward the kicker for successful onside kick recoveries, then you should penalize them for unsuccessful recoveries.
An error occurred while saving the comment Anonymous commentedDropped passes are not an official scoring category in the NFL. There would be no statistical reference to use for scoring as a result.
An error occurred while saving the comment Anonymous commented@Kelly
In fantasy hockey, goalies are not eligible for scoring in offensive categories, by design.
Likewise in fantasy baseball, pitchers are not eligible to collect offensive stats and position players are not eligible to collect pitching stats, by design.
An error occurred while saving the comment Anonymous commentedG's, like P's in baseball, are not eligible for certain scoring categories by design.
An error occurred while saving the comment Anonymous commentedfor sure....for all 14 of the 60+ yard field goals made in NFL history over 3 decades, please give us that bonus!!!

Why can't you use Email League?

An error occurred while saving the comment Anonymous commentedMajor overhead for the site. There would need to be limits or someone will post a 3.5 hour video of their draft.

An error occurred while saving the comment Anonymous commentedPassing yardage is already scored the same way in Yahoo! No matter which positions passes the ball, they get 1 pt for every 25 yards.
Rushing, the only difference between the way it is scored today and how you would like to see it is QB yardage in reality. K rushing yards are so rare its pointless to include them in custom scoring.
An error occurred while saving the comment Anonymous commentedFractional scoring for PPR is already available.
Receptions count the same for all receptions made, even for the QB. That is not likely to change.
An error occurred while saving the comment Anonymous commentedCan't be done with the current platform.
If the commish wants to create this as a "league rule" and police it themselves, then it can be done, but not thru the game platform.

An error occurred while saving the comment Anonymous commentedIn a private league, the commish can lock any team they want at anytime for any reason. So if the commish wants teams that are out of the championship to not pick up players, they can lock them.
An error occurred while saving the comment Anonymous commentedYou could go with the 8 team format.
An error occurred while saving the comment Anonymous commentedThere is an option available for the division winners to get byes in the first week.
An error occurred while saving the comment Anonymous commentedIn Yahoo! fantasy football, the commish can control this in custom leagues by altering previous results.
An error occurred while saving the comment Anonymous commentedYou could have chosen the 6 x 6 option and all 12 teams would have a game this weekend.
An error occurred while saving the comment Anonymous commentedYou can use commish tools Edit Points to manipulate the scores of prior games to get the teams you want into the playoffs.

An error occurred while saving the comment Anonymous commentedNothing changed this season regarding the regular season tiebreakers.
Best record is first, then most points. If most points is a tie, you go back to the previous week.
In the playoffs, for public and Pro leagues, the only tiebreaker is seeding. In private leagues, the commish can select H2H results during the season as the 1st tiebreaker if they wish, then seeding.
And no one changed your settings.

An error occurred while saving the comment Anonymous commentedThis is possible today.
You start the leagues with a team in each one, then add the real manager as a co-manager in 1 of the leagues. They can do everything in team management except draft, you would have to draft the players for them, but after that, you could just run the league and then the other person run the team.
League page, Edit Team Info, scroll down to the Co-manager option. All you need is the players email address.
An error occurred while saving the comment Anonymous commentedNo, you can co-manage a team, let the other guy manage the team, and you do the commish duties.
You must be affiliated with a team in the league.

An error occurred while saving the comment Anonymous commentedThere is the 6 x 6 option where the top 6 teams play for the championship and the bottom 6 play in the consolation bracket.
An error occurred while saving the comment Anonymous commentedIf this game had been a regular season game, the score would have been 5-5 and a tie, not 5-4-1. The same tiebreaker is used during the season to determine the winner of WHIP and ERA if needed.
Since the game happened in the playoffs, there cannot be a tie. Hot Tomales won because they were the higher seed.
An error occurred while saving the comment Anonymous commentedThis season for baseball and football, in public and pro leagues, there is only 1 tiebreaker and that is seeding.
In private leagues, the commish has the option to have H2H be the first tiebreaker, then seeding the 2nd and final tiebreaker.
An error occurred while saving the comment Anonymous commentedThe only way 2 week championships are allowed is if there are 4 or more days in the second week.
Example, this year in basketball, 2 week championships were advertized as available, but they weren't available, because the final week of the season is 3 days, not 4 or more.
The other point is the last week of the regular season in all sports is a real issue dealing with which players are really going to play vs. which players are going to be rested/benched/shutdown for the season.
An error occurred while saving the comment Anonymous commenteduse Edit Roster to bench all his players and lock out his team. he will lose 0-10

An error occurred while saving the comment Anonymous commentedI assume you mean going from 30 to like, 25? You can do this yourself by using Edit Rosters to remove players from teams, then just monitor the league to make sure no one exceeds the new roster size.
If Yahoo! were to reduce each team by 5 BN slots, how would Yahoo! know which 5 to remove from each team?

Football is the only fantasy game on Yahoo that allows retroactive roster/scoring changes.
