[Chat/Message Boards] Message Board Removal Feedback
Fantasy league message boards are no longer available but you can still access historical message board posts through your fantasy profile. Moving forward, we're investing in Fantasy Chat as the place for league communication and urge you to check out some of the recent improvements we've made like adding threading and pinning with polls coming soon.
Check out the following post for additional improvements made to Fantasy Chat: https://bit.ly/3UQbvew

The competition, Fantrax has chat but it's front and center where you can't miss it. As far as I know most of the owners don't see what I write on Yahoo chat. Yahoo has some stupid ****** running their fantasy sports when they ignore the customer for month after month. Now they got rid of the chat. It feels like censorship. I'm not surprised!! Everyone knows Yahoo is woke as ****.

Bring back the original Message Board. Chat is terrible. No one likes it or uses it. The message board was way more useful.

Good lord. Yahoo, you should bring back the message boards. Failing that...
AT LEAST make this new chat feature available in the web version of the league. It was there until this weekend--what happened?
Please stop making your product LESS useful to us.

The one thing you can count on from Yahoo is to continually ***** **** up. The league message board was convenient and easy. If an owner had a gripe or a concern he could write out his message, then hit the "post" button and...BOOM...message posted for everyone to read. BRING IT BACK!

Nobody ever posts messages in the league anymore. Bring back the old message board. Make it easy to find and keep it separate.

I was concerned about losing the message board and my concerns have been realized. As much as I have tried to promote usage of the League Chat, posts are down by 90% (you can validate this yourself if you want). I have been commissioner of this league for decades and a majority of the managers have been playing in this league for over 10 years. We have had a running in-house rule where each week managers make a post get bonus Aquisition Dollars. I just discontinued this in-house rule, because posts (League Chats) are very rarely made by anyone but me this year. So very disappointed. One manager just suggested we move to a different league where there is a more user friendly message board.
While I appreciate Yahoo's effort to try and make the message board funner, it has been a disaster and quite frankly has ruined the league atmosphere. -

concur. It's just one confusing continuous stream now...maybe be keep it, but allow for separate threads

Here's a radical idea. Bring back the message boards. This thread feature is horrendous and impossible to follow for active leagues. Had we discovered that messages were being removed sooner than 10 days before the start of the season, we would have searched for a different host site for our league, who has used Yahoo to host since 2001. Incredibly disappointing

Revert to "old" message boards, the "new" chat is just terrible..

Yahoo + is a joke. I've tried reaching out via email and get no response. I try to chat to resolve some issues but I have to sign up for the gimmick idea Yahoo+. This along with the removal of message boards gives me a constant reminder to never use Yahoo. Will be moving the league elsewhere due to these terrible updates. Yahoo in general is just awful.

Removing message board is the worst thing Yahoo has done in at least the 15 years we have been using the site. You received 100s of negative comments and feedback stressing the importance of message boards. Bring them back please.

What we need is a way to have multiple active threads so that the replies can be tracked within each conversation.
For example, i do a weekly article for my football league, which managers comment on. I would like to keep that separate from league transactions and other topics of conversation. I’ve tried “pinning” the article, but that doesn’t have the same effect.
In the current chat feature, it’s just one big mess of comments and transactions. And i know the transactions can be turned off, that doesn’t really help with the multiple threads issue.
We’ve had the same group of guys in fantasy basketball since 2003 and are all very disappointed that your company decided to cancel message boards and “invest” in the chat feature.

Fantasy Chat is horrible. No formatting. It is like texting in the 1990's. Can't even skip spaces to make a new paragraph. If you hit ENTER it sends the message.
I used to do weekly write-ups for awards, weekly bonus contests, side-bets, etc. on my league football message boards. Now I'm limited to short one-liners in chat threads that get lost in dozens of player transactions. Deleting the message boards was dumb. If they aren't back by the start of baseball again, me and my 3 leagues and 30 players are out of here.

We get it, you like the Chat.....so improve it.
I just posted a reminder in our Keeper's chat about a post I made three weeks ago about Keeper's Deadline, but no one will see the reply because it's lost in three weeks of threads. So basically I am requesting when someone replies, that the thread is moved to the first location everyone sees when they open chat. Otherwise the replies don't get seen. You know what would be even better? A message board.
