Not allow a player to move to IR after game has started
Hi Yahoo Fantasy Support,
I’m the commissioner of our Family Football league, and I noticed an issue during last night’s GB vs. WAS game that I feel needs to be addressed.
Jaylen Reed began the game active and on my bench. After he was injured and ruled out for the rest of the game, the system allowed me to move him to IR and then pick up another player off waivers. This creates a loophole that undermines fair play, because I already have settings in place so that a player cannot be dropped once their game has started.
In my view, once a player’s game has begun, they should be locked in every roster spot—bench included. The ability to move an in-game injured player to IR and gain a waiver pickup gives managers an unintended advantage and doesn’t align with how most commissioners expect roster locks to work.
I believe this setting should be corrected or at least made optional for commissioners to control. Without it, it feels like an unfair play that could impact the integrity of our league. Honestly, it makes me reconsider using Yahoo for our family league moving forward.
Can you please advise if there’s a way to prevent this, or if it’s something Yahoo will address? Or some other scenario I'm just not seeing where this setting allows for fair play.
Thank you,
Ion Aguinagalde
