Defenses should lose points on a lost special teams fumble
In Yahoo's default scoring settings Defenses gain points when special teams players pick up return yards or (punt or kick) return touchdowns. Based on the defense gaining points in these scenarios, logically it seems that if a special teams player fields a punt or kick and then fumbles the ball (the fumble is then recovered by the opposing team) the defense should lose points due to a lost fumble. Looking at the scoring tools in Yahoo fantasy football there is no acknowledgement of this scenario allowing a commissioner to allow the defense to lose points for a special teams fumble. Lacking this option isn't the end of the world, but just seems like a logical inconsistency with how scoring is applied for special teams play with regards to overall defensive scoring. Thank you for your consideration.
