3. Rubbish "force-fed" videos that are not wanted!

   Don't insult the intelligence of many Yahoo users by force-feeding us **** and other "selected" videos. If you must insist on them being there, at least show some respect to your users by giving them the option in SETTINGS to decline them - see how popular that option will be! It is, in our opinion, a very reasonable reflection on the grade of employee that is engaged to work at Yahoo! Charlie Babbitt springs to mind in such instances.

5. Sinking ship

   Yahoo has gradually been getting worse and worse over the past 12 months.

   There is no structure to the stories, you have world news mixed in with sports or celebrities or some random click-bait stories with misleading headlines. The previous version of yahoo was much better, I'm not sure why it was changed. Often the same stories are there for days at a time and the quality of reporting on some of the articles is dreadful.

   The amount of 'sponsored' stories and advertisements on the page is just getting out of control now. Yahoo has sold out big time to advertisers. I've used Yahoo as my homepage for as long as I've been using the internet and for the first time I've changed it to MSN due to how poorYahoo has become.

    I appreciate the steps Yahoo have taken in combating racism and antisemitism on its comments pages by changing the format, and have indeed defended the measures, as can be checked by you.
    But recently it is apparent that the new format allows organised groups to silence individuals by a mass hitting of the abuse/complaints button. This particularly relevant during the many online debates re brexit and Ukip. This morning, 3 Mar, 2017, I posted the following:

    "During the Referendum campaign there was a much repeated call to restore our nation to its former greatness.
    So let's just take a moment to consider that one of the central pillars of that 'greatness' was our parliamentary democracy, with its dual chambers in place to ensure legislation is thoroughly examined and debated in order to prevent ideological fads of either leaning, or private interest, gaining credence.
    The second chamber is doing just that now. And unlike past centuries, it is not made up solely of men - the landed gentry and Anglican bishops. Today, it is mainly men and women who are appointed after decades of public service, in political life, academia, the armed services and industry.
    There are plenty of Tory peers who rejected the bill. The House of Lords is doing what it is there for.
    Incidentally, I suggest many posters on this thread search out the Refendum ballot paper- it should be available to review online.
    I don't recall the word 'repatriation' being on it."

    You will note: no abusive language or attacks on individuals, just an appeal for respect for the existing parliamentary constitution.
    But it is not there now, and this is becoming a regular experience for people who oppose a certain political point of view.
    I suggest the system is being abused by a co-ordinated lobby, and that the previous red or green thumb system be reinstated to maintain freedom of speech.

    I have just attempted to set up and email account. I didn't and for two reasons. Firstly, I want to use a password of my choosing, not be told rudely that my chosen password is too weak. Secondly, I will not give you, or anyone else, my mobile phone number, I have no desire to be constantly bothered with junk calls and junk messages from Yahoo or any of your 'carefully selected' partners, if any. By the way, the email address you demand is old and inactive, and I have given it to you because you demand it.

    It wakes my entire family if it just starts playing without me knowing that it would, plus I am startled every time - you are going to give someone a heart attack! Also it uses extra bandwidth that I do NOT want to spend on videos that I do NOT choose to watch.
