Previous Close Incorrect, prior day closing values for Dow 30 on 1/16/18!!!!!

At 12:53 p.m. ET, the summary pages for AAPL, DWDP and MSFT incorrectly state their prior day's closes as 175.28, 75.22 and 88.08, respectively. Per the historical data page for each stock, the closes were, in fact, and 177.09, 75.41 and 89.60, respectively. PLEASE CORRECT AND, FOR GOD'S SAKE FOR YOUR CREDIBILITY, FIGURE OUT WHY THESE ERRORS KEEP TURNING UP. I'm these errors every day.

    One more sticky prior day: DNLI (Denali Therapeutics). Summary page for Tuesday says the prior day's close was $22.20. It was, in fact, $23.95. I'm wondering if maybe a simple change in the pre-market period (i.e., between 6 a.m. and 9 a.m. ET), you should run a refresh of your data base. That might cut the problem down.

    Also: XLY, DBC, MDY. Same issue. Can I ask if there is a timetable to get this bug fixed? I am spending an ungodly amount of time flagging the problem. So Yahoo Finance knows about it. My problem is this keeps messing up my spreadsheets, and I have to stop what I'm doing to research if the differential between the actual prior day's close is this specific problem or, say, simply a stock going ex-dividend. Mostly what I've discovered is the issue is this bug, and it won't go away. I don't know if it's you or the vendor you use to get the data. No matter where the problem is domiciled, your credibility is at risk.

    Last issue from Monday 1/29. ^NDX picked up the Thursday close of 6,916.304. The Friday close was 7,022.97. For the record, I have posted 28 times on this issue.

    We're not done yet. ^XAU, ^bkx, ^hgx, ^kix, ^osx. All are listing the Thursday close as the prior day's close. This is seven, or 18.5% of the 43 U.S. indexes I track plus the ^VXN.

    Now to the Dow: Same issue with KO, NKE and UTX. That's a 10% error rate on the 30 Dow stocks.

    And the same issue with XLV, SPYG, SMH, OIH, MDY, and ITA.

    Of the 45 ETFs I track, 6 have incorrect prior day closes displayed. That's13.3% of the total.

    I should note XLF. I had it on Saturday morning at $30.18. Today, the close is listed at $30.17. Your data matches with the WSJ. That suggests whoever is collecting the data has a problem collecting it in a timely manner. I saw similar issues with XLB, XLU and SPY.

    First stickiness of the day. Yahoo summary page for ^VXN says the prior day's close (i.e., Friday 1/26) was 18.25. The interactive chart and historical data pages say the close was 17.52. That was the number I recorded on Friday. Can we get this issue addressed and FIXED?

    EWJ, 64.51 vs. 64.20 actual
    IWM, 158.97 vs. 159.03 actual
    GLD 128.83, vs. 127.97 actual
    USO, 13.22 vs. 13.06 actual
    JJC, 36.81 vs. 36.45 actual
    IBB, $115,90 vs. 116.63 actual
    FXE, 119.42 vs. 119.46 actual

    Again the actual value taken from the historical data page for each ticker.

    I track 46 ETFs. Of these, 19.57% of the prior day's closing values on the summary pages were wrong. That would frighten me.

    1/26/18. Got a bunch today:

    CAT, 168.34 listed on summary page, vs. 169.37 actual. The change is correct
    KO, 47.83 vs. 47.84 actual
    GE 16.44 vs. 16.18 actual
    HD, 206.22 vs. $205.37 actual
    JNJ, 142.07 vs. 144.40 actual
    MCD 176.12 vs. 176.66 actual
    VZ 54.22 vs. 54.29 actual
    WMT, 105.79 vs. 106.60 actual

    In all cases, the summary page is showing the Wednesday close as the prior close, not the Thursday close, which is the value I am using as the actual.

    For the record, that is a 26.67% error rate, which I hope you regard as entirely unacceptable.

    I'm catching this because I pull over the prior day's closing data from my various portfolios into an excel spreadsheet BEFORE putting in the current price.

    If there is a difference, then I have to go figure out why. It used to be I could expect a dividend to be the cause. Lately, esp. with stocks and with ETFs, I am finding the issue is the problem in your software.

    I did not see any issues with any of the 43 U.S. indices I track nor with the foreign indices I track.

    You have incorrect prior day's closes on GLD and DIA.

    XLK. Friday close was $67.80, not $67.67.
    OIH: Friday close was $28.49
    EWJ: Friday close was $63.83.
    XLB: Friday close was $63.28.
    DBC Friday close was $16.88.
    GLD: Friday close was $126.42.
    DIA: Friday close was $260.54.
    VGk. Friday close was $62.44.
    RSX: Friday close was $23.48
    IBB: Friday close was $112.00.

    The prior closes displayed for all of the above were THURSDAY values.

    Sticky numbers today (1/22/18). DWCF (prior close shud be 29,039.32). DJUSFN, DJUSRE, DJUSST. Am not sure if you are really maintaining these numbers. I would be interested to know. The WSJ does care about DWCF.

    Today (1/19/18), you say the prior close on HD is 199.82. That is the Wednesday close. The Thursday close was 198.33. Your issue is still there.

    In my wanderings through the stock market, I've come up with one bad prior-day close: TSCO. Yahoo's summary page shows the prior day's (1/17/18) close at $79.18. Historical data page (and my spreadsheet) shows the 1/17 close at $80.58.
