This company is embarking on being the go to recycling facility for lithium-ion batteries in the U.S. They are currently in the process of building a pilot plant in Fernley Nevada and have recently received a federal grant for lithium extraction. From all that I've read they look like a company we should be paying more attention to, however, there is very little media coverage and very little is known about this company. Perhaps it is because they are in the initial stages of starting operations, however, an American company trying to keep rare earth metals at home and part of a domestic supply chain is noteworthy.
This could probably tie into the news about GM building a battery facility to manufacture batteries domestically. Someone would need to recycle those batteries and ABTC may be that someone.
It would be nice to read about an American company that can help to untie the U.S. from foreign battery producers
