$$CASH Function NOT WORKING
The guide in persona portfolios recommends the use of $$Cash to manually track cash in a portfolio. I've used this in other listings in my portfolio, but now it won't accept this option.

Adding a custom stock in the portfolio says to use $$ before the symbol. This no longer works.

Yes. Up-vote. Functionality for adding $$ custom symbols is broken.

Doesn't Yahoo ever check this part of their Finance program. Lousy customer service, if you ask me.

I also have not been able to add $$CASH to a portfolio. I have several portfolios and I was able to enter cash to one of the other portfolios, but that was a long time ago. Why isn't Yahoo fixing this new problem?

Added $$CASH a few weeks ago in one account, now it does not work. Have tried with " " marks, and without. Nothing seems to work. Pulls up any investment with the word cash in it.
Just want to have a holding spot for cash in my account, and bonds. -

Sorry, I don’t understand.
Where is “Find a Quote” field that you reference.
In the “Add a symbol” field….
I agree that nothing happens when you “PressReturn/Enter”
Is there a work around to actually add a custom symbol. -
Frank Giambalvo commented
Tried the following (as I have done for years)
to add a new $$CASH-CUSTOM entry .....Enter $$_VALUE_110421 in the "Find a Quote" field.
Press Enter and the symbol will be added to your list. But nothing happens in the dialog box when I "Press Enter"
Not working in multiple portfolios & browsers
