No more entering over a hundred tickers without commas functionality in a portfolio
Cannot enter multiple tickers in one’s portfolio from Yahoo Finance without using commas. Very inconvenient.
I am opening a new thread on this same issue pertaining to the Finance website because a representative from Yahoo closed the issue that I reported last week, stating that the issue had been fixed, which it is not.
So, to be clear on this matter. Although it states that you are supposed to use commas to separate tickers when entering them into your portfolio, only two weeks ago, you never had to enter commas for as many years as I can remember. Only two weeks ago, you could copy 250 tickers from a single column in Excel and paste all 250 tickers into the portfolio box (add tickers) without adding commas, hit “ENTER” on the keyboard, and they would all populate. No one can longer perform this action, which is very disturbing.
The only aspect that you fixed was manually typing tickers followed by commas, for which last week, there was no functionality to enter any tickers, period.
Regarding the import function, which I never use, I saved two CSV files; one with multiple tickers all in a single row, and the other file, all in a single column. I couldn’t get either one to import. Being that I did not use commas, this one aspect could be my fault. But like I said, I don’t use this function.
Somebody grotesquely bastardized the site and is preventing the fastest method to input multiple tickers into one’s portfolio. Copy from Excel.
Please kindly address this issue.
This is now fixed. Please give it a new try and let us know if you still face any issues.
