Restore Full Historical Data for Investments

An important unique feature that Yahoo Finance has provided for many years is it's access to extensive istorical price data for investments. As of this weekend, I have found that the data history has been shortened, and thereby has substantially reduced its usefulness/utility!
For many investments, tabular price history has been available to download dating back to December 1998. As of now, these same investments only present data back to 2008. The utility of historical price analyses is not only the calculation of returns, but also the calculation of risk - i.e., standard deviation, drawdown (peak to trough) and correlations. By shortening the data history to 2008, you have now effectively excluded 2 of the last 3 major market corrections! The data you now offer is now basically useless!
I ask that the full history for all investment be restored, otherwise you should be aware that Yahoo Finance will lose users and traffic based on your now degraded data offering.
