How do we delete a portfolio? Previous question on this forum just takes me back to the cover page about sending a question.

To delete a portfolio, follow these steps:

  1. Click on "My Portfolio" in the navigation menu.
  2. Choose the portfolio you wish to delete from the list under "My Portfolios."
  3. On the right side, click on "Settings" and select "Delete Portfolio."
  4. Confirm the deletion by clicking "Confirm."

If you encounter difficulties deleting the default "My Watchlist" or a renamed version of it, we're aware of this issue and are actively working on a solution. Thank you for your patience!

    your team doesn't seem to fix any issues raised on this forum. Why? I still cannot see the portfolio totals without scrolling. Put the totals directly in the portfolio worksheet or at least on top so we can view the numbers all together.

    Need a method to delete portfolios. Can't find it on site. I want to delete all portfolios and start over.

    Portfolio 2.0 created a lot of duplicated copy portfolio and I cannot delete any portfolio. We need to be able to delete unwanted portfolio.

    There is no way to delete a portfolio in yahoo. Followed all directions an suggestions in the help menu. Delete Portfolio is now were to be found. Not on the right side of the page, in the setting button, or anywhere else on the page. Tired of playing this game of keep away, will quite all yahoo apps if not resolved. What else are you doing; and WHY? I know you think you are clever making us look all over your pages of advertising; but it is just IRRITATING. .

    Quite many are asking the same questions.. Here's some help:

    How to delete a portfolio?

    - first, by clicking the portfolio open so that you can see it's contents
    - then selecting Settings ... (which is at the right hand side)
    - and finally, from the drop-down menu of Settings, select the last one: Delele Portfolio

    This works with all other portfolios, byt not the one that titled as My Watchlist.

    How to delete a stock from a portfolio?

    - first, open the portfolio from which you want to delete stocks
    - then, just find the stock you want to delete ...
    - and, check the check-box on the left side of the stock name
    - finally, scroll up so that you can see the trash can symbol and the text "Delete symbols"

    These are quite easy and should work as instructed because I tested them in a browser window of my laptop. But if you're using a smart phone app or something, then ithe procedures may be different.

    HOW DO WE DELETE A ******* PORTFOLIO THAT WE DON'T NEED?!?!?!? Shouldn't that be right out in the OPEN???

    This site is messed up terribly. There is no way to delete and separate "portfolios. What's the big deal? Site was much easier to navigate BEFORE it was "improved!" So how can I delete a portfolio?

    Hi Guys,

    For one of my portfolios the "Delete portfolio" is simply missing from the Settings menu. For all the others, I can delete the portfolio.

    It could have something to do with the fact that it is my first portfolio: https://finance.yahoo.com/portfolio/p_0/view/view_0

    I would be more than happy to attach a screen shot.

    I have three portfolios and, YES, I know how to delete a portfolio. On one of the three, if I go to Settings, there is no option to "Delete Portfolio" on the dropdown. If I do the same on the other two, there is a "Delete Portfolio" option on the dropdown menu. I have reproduced the bug on different platforms and OSes. THE MISSING DELETE OPTION IS A BUG! IT HAS EXISTED FOR YEARS! PLEASE ADDRESS!

    Found out elsewhere that MyWatchlist is a portfolio name that is created by Yahoo and, for some reason, they won't let you delete it.

    Agree. There is no such button in my desktop (Google Chrome) app.
