Why am I unable to leave this message? "Does anyone know why this stock is down so much today? This level of drop is historically abnormal.
Is this a buying opportunity or the beginning of something?
Usually GOF goes up after pay date until ex. Div date.
My take... May be off.
Heavy volume today: over 5.8x daily average
Large block trades: I counted about 5 trades of ~4000+ shares in one trade, many more in 1000+ block trades... I stopped counting after 20 trades. these were at the beginning or middle of the major drops. I don't know if this is typical block size for GOF.
I don't see any shares held by the insiders
10 yr rates have been high for many days, why would that become as issue all of a sudden today?
GOF payout ratio is >1000% this is new. Is this level of payout sustainable? I checked a while back and it was around 100% which I thought was sustainable.
GOF is showing negative Revenue per share for May'23 and May'22. Is this sustainable?
PTY (yahoo lists PTY as similar to GOF) is another high div (pays monthly) fixed income etf(?) is also down by 3.6% not as bad as GOF. But down substantiall nonetheless. They invest in Ba, BB, Baa or BBB corporate bonds. I can see how they can get hurt by hight int rates.
