Repost Bring back negative share entries
Reposting since this was not addressed.
Apparently the negative share feature was removed. All transactions that I had entered a leading negative sign for have been changed to positive, so the total number is incorrect. This has apparently been disabled. This leaves me without a way to enter recordkeeping fees in HSA and 401(k) that are based on share amounts rather than dollar amounts. This is true on mobile app AND web, no way for user to fix.
Yahoo finance has been deteriorating since the beginning of the year. I've now downloaded another app to track finances.
The response received was:
In Yahoo Finance 2.0 you are able to easily add fees in the Cash Holding section. You will not need to add them based on shares, just enter the total amount and it will be deducted from your profile.
1) Fees for HSA / 401(k) must be added based on shares, not dollar amounts. This is because actual shares are deducted, not cash.
2) Not having negative values also removes the ability to track calls with a negative value which are not "Cash Holdings." For example they are assigned a custom symbol with $$ like $$Calls.
