Historical data download no longer working
Historical data Download all stocks
Gives this error... (Did this historical download become a premium feature last week? I have gratefully used this feature every Saturday for many years.)
{
"finance": {
"result": null,

"code": "forbidden",

Long time user and re-signed membership because i thought this error would go away if I renewed my membership... Did not.

I've also experienced the same error message.
Please let the community know when this will be addressed and fixed.

Please re-instate this facility. It is of course possible to work around this difficulty but your provision was probably the most elegant.

The non-hideous classic version of YF fails (without the resend to the pricing page).
Thousands of students (mine included) now *********.
And thousands of us home investors too.
Without a warning.
Well done, Yahoo, I really look forward to do business with you. -

Even when logged in, when I click download for historic data, I get this error messgae: {"finance":{"result":null,"error":{"code":"forbidden","description":"User is unable to access this feature - https://bit.ly/yahoo-finance-api-feedback"}}}. I have tried different browsers. Have you paywalled? If so, honeslty, if we have to subscrivbe to everything we need these days, we'd all be in an even worse financial situation than we already are. Wanna know the real reason economies are crashing? Subscriptions... For the record, you are not the only company to publish this data...

If you click download on the hideous new version of Yahoo Finance, you will be taken to a page of pricing plans, and the $40/month plan lists exporting CSVs of historical data as a feature. It's actually $50/month and 20% off if you buy a full year. lmao. Sorry, but I think I'll just get the information elsewhere!
The classic Yahoo Finance download button will give you a 403 (forbidden) response with a JSON that has a link to a survey buried in it.
Now we all know that this site is run by untrustworthy clowns. Remember that when you fill out that survey.

Many people have written code to download historical data and now suddenly with no warning, the functionality is gone.

what happened to the historical price downloads in Yahoo Finance? This is a widely used function for alot of users. Please restore that. Tks

Do we have any confirmation that this has been paywalled? Under which payment plan? This is a very bad issue to lose access to the data without warning or alternatives offered.

My friend, it is now paywalled. They think you're going to pay $40 every month to download some csv files.

Hi! Historical prices can not be downloaded. Please fix the issue.

As of late last week you've removed the ability to download csv files for historical prices and dividends for Canadian and US stocks, ETFs and Canadian mutual funds. As a small private investor, this was a useful tool I was using for personal use only. Please make this function available again.

Historical data is extremely critical to users attempting to do their own valuation eg. working out the P/E ratios and other price multipliers. Thank you!

Please continue to allow download of historical stock prices to as far back as IPO date. Thanks!
