Suggestions to improve the new Yahoo Finance
Hello, I would like to leave my feedback on the new Yahoo Finance.
I thought the old Yahoo Finance was very good and I miss some points of the old version.
Here are my suggestions for improvement:
- The "finance area" on the right-hand side of the page should take up more space and the font should be larger, otherwise it looks too inconspicuous and the font is quite small, making it difficult to see.
In this context, the "Recently Viewed" list should also be made longer, ideally to 20 entries.
- The overview of the markets on the right-hand side of the page has also been pushed into the background and is too small. I think it would be better if it were at the top of the page like it used to be
- In general, the page is much more confusing than it used to be and the news takes up too much space
- Unfortunately, I also find the charts more confusing than they used to be, as the chart is so wide and has little contrast and is poorly drawn.
Unfortunately, even if you select 1 month, only rough bar charts are displayed, unlike when you select 5 days, for example.
When you move the mouse over the chart, the cursor unfortunately does not stay on the chart like it used to, so in order to find high and low points, for example, you have to point the cursor at them exactly, which is an unnecessary amount of work.
- On the site of a stock, the related stocks should be displayed again

Even after many complaints that the New Finance is very slow, Yahoo sees fit to add more content on the pages.
Now the Holdings Summary includes a performance chart.
This further slows down loading of this page which was already very slow and unresponsive

When creating a Custom View for 'Portfolios', there is no option to include 'Last Price' as a column. I created a custom view and the changes seem to work for 'Holdings', but I need 'Last Price' also
I don't know what creating a Custom View for 'Basic' does. What is Basic?
Is there a manual online for how to use the new fMy Portfoios I couldn't find any help

Please, add in "Portfolio News" the options of choosing "All, news, press releases, SEC Filings". It is important and will be great.

Yahoo, when created the new design ascetained to create the great, more convinient an improved Portfolio 2.0. Plus, more efficiently to engage and involve users in the beta test BEFORE releasing in production but not after as Yahoo did. Yahoo should get rid the responsible person for this project.
The new type of viewing is horrible. How to use thereof? Absolutly is not convenient. Please, create the new type of viewing so flexible as the former viewing was. For what the new design if it absolutely is not convenient? I don't operate thereof. The new design should be flexible like the former design was. It is important.
It is the beta test while the new design doesn't work. You should test firstly, after rolling up to all users.
Plus, answer without the terms isn't the answer too. Your company should take responsibility and set up the terms. You have a lot of users, who have said the same on Yahoo Feadback Forum. Accelerate them, please, in resolving this question, otherwise I will change Yahoo on somebody else more great and quick. -

If you don;t have both a fast internet connection and a fast PC, it will be hazardous to use the new My Portfoiios. I have 100MbS internet and a core duo CPU laptop PC. It owrks well for all other applications that I use.
Today I tried to add a year-end distribution transaction to one of my mutual fund holdings.
My Porfolios was so unresponsive that I inadvertently deleted some prior transactions for this holding.. Now I have to go to the mutual fund company to find the activity for the past 9 years and re-enter it!
WARNING! It would be wise to expand the holdings list to reveal the transactions and print this out. The transaction notes won't show, so if you need them you'll have to manually write them down..

Please remove the right panel with the Index's information. Put it back on top. That panel covers up the resent part of the charts, the rest of the stock information and half the portfolio information and there is no way to scroll it over. It also covers options pricing. The rest I can live with.

In Firefox, printing Holdings has a bug. If the portfolio is more than one page long you get a jumble of the holdings list and superimposed images from the following pages (graphs, etc).
Also it takes many operations to get a holdings list for a single portfolio in a multi-portfolio account. Pressing holdings lists everything at first.
On the home summary page it is difficult to copy\paste and retain any bit on the original formatting. You typically have to copy as straight text, then re-format everything manually. This is very time consuming.
