Proposed Changes to the Portfolio page
Overall, I am pleased with the new Yahoo Finance design. It has a pleasant feel to it, although it is inconvenient to have to relearn where everything is on the screen.
I want to suggest a few cosmetic changes.
1) When displaying the portfolio, the header of the view should be frozen. Some of my portfolios are long and when I scroll down, the header scrolls up and disappears. I sometimes get confused about what each column represents. For instance: am I looking at the percentage of the stock in my portfolio or the forward dividend yield?
2) In the old view, the page was showing all fields in the view. The new format is not designed for ultra-wide screens. I am now forced to scroll right to see the rest of my columns. This is very inconvenient.
3) The docking box only shows the fixed number of indices. For instance, the US section shows: Dow 30, S&P 500, Nasdaq, and Russell 2000. I want to be able to see more indices. Better yet, I want to be able to pick what I want to see from the list.
4) One of the column options is no longer available. My views used to have a small graph that showed 52 weeks range. I suspect it was removed because it was putting a strain on the loading of the page. I hope it will get fixed.
