How can we improve New Mail?

auto save making drafts

I have 29 copies in drafts of same msg!!! Did they all get sent??? Now i cant delete each draft as auto save kicks me out saying msg was prev sent, check sent folder. I check, NOTHING!!! Time sensitive - Legal docs. must fix this!!!
