Moving the trash can to the right side of the subject line? Dumb. Put it back.
Moving the trash can to the right side of the subject line is the dumbest thing I've seen in a while. What genius suggested that?
Putting it back on the left where it was would correct that problem.

Agree, "quick delete" should be located closer to where the mouse spends most of its time, which is the left side of the screen. With the reading pane turned off, the trash can is so far away that I have to carefully pay attention to what I am deleting. Extra time and attention removes the "quick" from "quick delete". Just remove it altogether if it will be so counter-intuitive.

Personally, I like the trash can on the right side, although it took me a while to get used to it.
For what it's worth, Microsoft Outlook 2016 also has a "Quick Delete" icon at the far right by default, which is perhaps the inspiration for Yahoo's design.
