IMAP sync for Yahoo mail is failing in Outlook on my PC and on my mobile phone. Not just on my account but my wife's too.
IMAP for Yahoo mail is failing in Outlook on my PC and on my mobile phone. Not just on my account but my wife's too. Prompting for the password for the imap server but the password is correct as I am currently signed in to Yahoo directly. Just the IMAP server.

Been having the same problem. Outlook returns an error "It looks like we don't have permission to get mail..." Enter the correct password in Outlook.com client, update fails and problem remains. Enter the correct password into MS Office Outlook App, problem remains. Added account in MS Office Outlook App and all items in the Yahoo account downloads. After deleting all the old messages, they are downloaded again. It's been two weeks now and Yahoo has been a complete failure. It was once a reliable app, now it's almost useless.

me too and my wife... both androids and not working... also windows mail app is not syncing.. says issues logging in.. i changed passwords.. still nothing... cleared cache and reloaded apps.. downloaded most recent apps... yahoo mail is just not working.

The password is correct, but server rejects anyways!
