Five things to fix in Yahoo Mail as of 2018-01-09:
1) Typing text into the Subject Line causes the cursor to delete random letters, so I have to retype and retype. This problem does not occur with any other application or website, so I know the problem is with Yahoo mail.
2) When I paste text into the email body, it pastes at the begining of the email body, not at the point where I have the curser. It gets so bad that I first type the text into Notepad then paste the entire Notepad message into an empty Yahoo email. This problem does not occur with any other application or website, so I know the problem is with Yahoo mail.
3) SLOW! The user interface requires way too much CPU power. There should be no need for modern multicore processors to do simple email. If I use a program like Outlook 2000, it has a very rapid response AND it does a lot more than what webmail is doing. The slowness is due to excessive use of sloppy Javascript generated by a computer (not a real programmer). The solution is NOT to use the "old Yahoo mail". All the important features and ease of use can be done without making Yahoo mail slow. This is a problem with most webmail (Yahoo, MSN Outlook, etc.), but it is not necessary. Gmail however still is quite quick.
4) Buttons are de-activated. When I first launch Yahoo mail, the first email is selected, but most buttons are de-activated (Reply, Delete, Move). I have to click a different email, the click the original email, then the buttons are active. This is very likely due to a mix of multi-threading and the absurd amount of SLOW Javascript. Simplify the code and use less Javascript.
5) Message to unsuscribe from deleted emails. This is a dangerous suggestion. If I want to unsuscribe, I can do it manually. Stop making suggestions by guessing what I want, especially when it can accidentally result in me losing subscriptions. This is a case of programmers and managers with too much time on their hands. You DO NOT have to make changes for the sake of changes...if software is already perfect, leave it alone.Beyond that, Yahoo mail works well.
I use Yahoo mail, Outlook.com, Outlook 365, and Gmail. Fix the above items and Yahoo mail will be better than all your competitors.~Charles Z

Constantly crashing whether using Chrome or IE11. I am fed up with your new interface slowing down when not crashing.
What **** you guys have developped? The old interface was not **** but was stable and less issues! -

New format is bad, doesn't work properly ..
It is very slow .. it freezes for no good reason and doesn't let me scroll up or down or do anything, I need to close mail and re open/log in to be able to continue browsing, deleting and/or replying... -

Just stop all the **** stuff that tells me how many times I speak to a person etc, I dont need to know that, believe me I am totally capable of putting the person emails in a folder if I really need to know more information about how often we communicate by email... I mean whats the point really, are you not just reinventing the wheel here. and all these things seem to be doing is causing the entire application to crash or go absolutely slow or never load up in the first place.
I mean, thats hardly the point of using an email service -

the top message in the inbox disappears and can only be accessed by using the back cursor from the second message. Also, emails to not appear in the sent box. So many, many little problems. Add to all of that the new email is very slow and rittled with pop ups!

Why bother to improve things when everything works perfectly well if it is just left alone. Improving things does not make them any better. There was nothing wrong with the old format. The new format is full of advertising **** that slows my computer and the new font makes me go cross-eyed. Go back to the previous format and stop changing things for change's sake!

Sort alphabetically and put the sender I had selected up top, when I choose sort by Sender? Now I scroll forever with no page fwd/bwd option, which Was another great feature in the past. 2 of the Best Features Yahoo Mail HAD, but then did away with for a reason I can't imagine. Why did these Options go away? Now, my account is fairly useless as far as retrieving all emails from a particular sender, and rather than fairly quickly moving through the pages, I have a slow, slow scroll that takes so long to get to all old emails that I won't bother. Strange when products choose to get worse rather than better.

Very difficult to read e-mails, and composing is even more ridiculous. This interface is by far the worst that I've ever seen. As unbelievable as it seems, it's slow performance is even worse than the dial-up days with bulletin boards. I've been loyal to Yahoo for about two decades, but I'm seriously considering converting to Gmail.

I do not know what has changed but your mail simply takes forever now. All those tabs and random things, all the stuff that automatically pops up or suggested changes I can make. People are pretty tech savvy now, they do not require all these things that slow down what they truly want, their e mail.
For example look at gmail (your direct competitor) simple, straight forward. No pop up things, no advice, no "Check out the fun new colors for this tab you don't use" notifications popping up. Its simple, easy to use, loads quickly and has seemingly outpaced you in all aspects of e mail.
My thoughts on changes ...
Massive tab to the right? Don't use it, don't care about it, takes up space, probably slows down mail, needs to go.
Views tabs? Never clicked on any of those, never want to, assuming it slows down loading time, really should also go.
Pop ups? Cant you just have a thing in settings that teaches those that want it? Why slow down what I do to tell me you now have orange as a background color? -

A TOTAL load of ****!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yet another typical Yahoo FORCED STUFF-UP
Emails once clicked on then after a random period of time from a couple seconds to almost a minute they disappear from the view screen and I have to then click/select them again. VERY SLOW response also.GET RID OF THE BLOODY ANNOYING POP-UP **** you keep forcing us to see.
What is the point of going back to the OLD SYSTEM when you are going to get rid of it eventually now you have a NEW SYSTEM. JUST FIX the bloody thing and why don't you do BETA TESTING BEFORE you release a stuffed up version which annoys the f___ out of everyone.

Deleting emails is painfully slow. Also I am having trouble attaching documents and photos to an email to send. I have had to send an email a number of time before it went complete with attachments.

Please fix your horribly slow speed ... now can type only 3 to 5 characters every 5 to 10 seconds. Insane. This has been going on sporadically ever since you forced us to use your "new upgraded" ****!
