Area around delete checkbox should not be clickable
The area immediately around the checkboxes is clickable to open emails. If you are selecting multiple items for delete and ever-so-slightly mis-click outside the checkbox, it opens the mail and you have to go back and re-check all the mails again you intended to delete, which makes the multi-select for deletes effectively useless.
Just make the area around them not-clickable and it would be fine.

Glad someone has added this. Accidentally opening emails when selecting multiples happens too often to count.
The clickable area should be restricted to only the checkbox with the immediate surrounding area in effect unclickable for 20 to 30 pixels. The move to open the email needs to be clearly deliberate. Currently, the proximity to the open email function is just too close and easy to click on.
