Help with my account
For the last two days I’m receiving dozens of nonsense emails. How can this be stopped? Thx
Hi there. The more often you mark these emails as Spam, the more you train your personal mail filter to recognize them as such. We recommend following these steps to manage your incoming emails: https://help.yahoo.com/kb/manage-spam-mailing-lists-yahoo-mail-sln28056.html
You can always create filters: https://help.yahoo.com/kb/new-mail-for-desktop/filters-organize-yahoo-mail-sln28071.html

AND STOP PROMPTING TO UNSUBSCRIBE FROM SPAM !
YAHOO'S OWN SUGGESTIONS RECOMMEND AGAINST USING "UNSUBSCRIBE" FROM SPAM, YET, YAHOO CONTINUES TO ASK IF WE WANT TO UNSUBSCRIBE FROM SPAM?? THIS IS LUDICROUS. STOP IT !

We are marking a larger than normal percentage of SPAM emails every day. It doesn't seem to help to mark it as spam, then keep getting product offers. This has only occurred in a big way since late 2021. Some legitimate emails get accidentally marked spam in the melee. Please help.

Spam only became a problem after you started pushing yahoo plus.

Foolish idea to sign up for yahoo plus.

I have had this email for a very long time, but I am officially done with it. I am working towards abandoning it altogether. Your spam filters are horrible. I get Norton and McAffee spam emails among others every single day...multiple times a day. I mark every one as spam and nothing changes. I am done with yahoo after twenty some years.

First you have a major security breech and now your spam blocking is totally useless without having to pay. Way to go, good by Yahoo. You run the worst email service out there.

I continue to receive phishing emails labeled McAfee they come several times per day -irritating. Yahoo needs to allow users to filter out Key Words, such as “McAfee” to route directly to junk folder or deletion. Please consider allowing otherwise many will change email provider given the frequency of spam.

(2022.07.06) for the last, what, 3 weeks (more or less), spam filtering has been very obviously de-activated in yahoo!mail and this is very very inconvenient *and* very very dangerous. i never had problems with excessive spam making it through to my inbox, this for decades. this is no longer the case. something's broken. please re-enable spam filtering, NOW!

Yahoo is becoming obsolete. I log into my email (which I've have for 15+ years) and I find 20-30 SPAM emails A DAY. Yahoo offers "enhanced spam detection" for a fee?!?! I flag spam emails as spam regularly and Yahoo still cannot detect these OBVIOUS spam addresses and mailings. I don't want to stop using yahoo mail, or yahoo in general, but you need to do a better job. I suffer through your ads and popups... you're doing just fine with advertising revenues. It would be nice if you could provide the product/service that I remember from years ago.

Giving up on Yahoo Mail. Seems like now that they are pushing a paid version of Mail they're letting the Spammers take over those who don't use the paid version. I'm getting Spam emails as often as every five minutes. There are way too many other better options.

What has happened with the Yahoo spam filter? Did it go offline? The past few days, my account has been flooded with four or five dozen obvious spam emails per day -- most of which were handled automatically. It's getting so that I won't be able to use the account any longer because legitimate messages can't be filtered out of the chaff.
Also -- the search for this page, plus the convoluted sign-in process is making me think that Yahoo is trying its best to avoid responsibility for maintaining its service. Or maybe the spam and the ads ARE the service now?

There needs to be a better filter for spam. It seems that over the last month I received more spam that ever before and many are repeats of the same items I have already identified as spam. At the same time, items that are not span are put in the spam folder. WHAT IS GOING ON? If this continues, it may just be time to move to another email service.

It is obvious that there is either a lapse in Yahoo's ability to monitor spam OR it is allowing spam to go unfiltered. I suspect it is the latter as I keep getting prompted to "try out Yahoo+ free for 14 days". It will suck, since I've had my yahoo account since 1997, but I am seriously considering switching everything over to my Gmail.

I thought I was the only one and I have been searching Yahoo for the last hour! I have been with Yahoo for 25 years. Please, please fix this soon, or I will consider moving to another mail supplier. Also, a few important emails have landed in my Junk emails.

I agree too. Have had this same email account for 22 years now and the past two weeks have had an horrendous amount of spam which I have moved to my junk folder which it should have gone to automatically. I too will make my gmail account my primary email if this continues. Please fix this Yahoo!!

I don't know what is going on with Yahoo, but I'm ready to leave it if something is not done about it quickly. For the past week or so, I have huge amounts of spam coming directly in to my inbox. It doesnt matter how many times I report these messages as spam and then block them, it still keeps coming. Please fix your service asap.

I agree and Thank for sharing this. It would be great to have a features where we can pay and increase security including blocking the e-mail extension instead of the entire e-mail at a time. Yahoo you need to fix this ASAP as I don't want to leave. But I will if it is going to be a problem.
Thank you
