today I changed my paypal's account yahoo-email to gmail (after 14 years), because of the sily annoying ad-blocker reminder...

When I get transferred to basic mail because I dare to have ad blockers, here's the message I get."WHAT HAPPENED TO MY INBOX? SOME FEATURES ARE MISSING BECAUSE YOU HAVE AN AS-BLOCKER" NO **** , SHERLOCK! Yup. the feature to read or forward an e-mail has disappeared. Who is the numbskull at Yahoo who thought this one up? At least the classic mail has a usable contact list.
Time to explore alternate e-mail options. -

I must agree with the above sentiment. Taking the advised action has now rendered my yahoo account useless. When I click on a mail to view it, the entire Yahoo page goes pale grey and appears to be locked. How do I fix this?

Stop with the "White list us" nonsense. I've had my yahoo account for 25+ years. This new thing is garbage.

Stop trying to get me to turn off my ad blocker. there is a reason for not wanting ads the constant harrasment.

Do you really think that by harassing and annoying me I'm going to disable it instead of switching to a decent mail service?
It's not enough that you're datamining my emails and selling that data, you now want to flood my computer with virus infected ads and tracking tools

Look I removed the blocker. If you would allow an upload of a screen shot here, I could prove it to you. I am getting plenty of ads. And yet every once in a while the screen dims and I get that 'fix this or get basic mail.' I have fixed this and no I don't want Pro mail. Your ads are on my screen so what's your problem?

I have an adblocker. Many do. No I am not interested in premium ad free email. No, I will not turn off the ad blocker to get bombarded with annoying ads I am even less interested in. If I wasn't interested in a software the first 359 times, I will not be interested now either. So stop asking me to unblock the ads. And when I select go to basic and allow adblocker, it reverts back to normal view and keeps asking me the question every single time I open an email. I have made the choice hundreds of times already. Stop it! No wonder I used to use yahoo for important stuff, but now its mostly for spam and useless emails.

Stop with the basic mail or whitelist. I will use adblock. I've had my yahoo account for over twenty years

I understand that Yahoo makes money through ads and ad blockers reduce their revenue. Unfortunately, the current attempt to block ad blockers is making it so I can't use the tool.
I've only been with Yahoo for 15 years. I would think you would be interested in keeping customers. I really, really don't want to move over to gmail.
Is there a middle ground? I will not tolerate video ads in my email. Nope, wont happen. I hate seeing your ads disguised as email, I think it is deceptive and an unacceptable practice.
What can we do so I don't have to switch mail service providers?

The very deceptive ad blocking pop-ups are very unprofessional. And, punishing me for not turning off my ad blocker by changing what I can do within my email account is acting childish.

I am ready to close my yahoo account all together and switch to google or other email service if the yahoo ad to block ads when I open my email continues to intrude on my email.

Yeah, the Yahoo is starting to get on my nerves, especially when I'm checking my emails, suddenly there is pop-up saying to whitelist the yahoo email which is to rid of my ad-blocker and I can't do that. I would think that Yahoo should be protecting us from the ads. Why, are they so hungry to make more money by having us to deal with the annoying ads? People are funny, when they got money, they get so greedy and don't even care about others.

I have a right to use my ad blocker to protect from malware. And besides, it's none of your business. If you continue to pester me about this with your pop-ups, I will be going over to gmail like the others I've read about on this forum. Stop it, or lose customers!!

You are stopped from doing anything without responding to that ad popup. It is annoying and making your email one I won't use very often.

My ad blocker is to protect me, and there is no way your advertix=zers know I am using it. Please cease your obnoxious warnings.

I've tried using your mail with the ads and they are so intrusive, that I have no choice but to block them. If you don't want me to use your mail, that's fine. I can send all of my contacts notices and change everything to Gmail. I'm not interested in using your app and I see plenty of your ads using the yahoo news feature where I don't need to see them when I'm working on things related to my email.
