.us designation keeps failing

I have a "business e-mail account"
everytime I try to send an email to xx@xx.us
Sorry, we were unable to deliver your message to the following address.

xx@xx.us:

Unable to deliver message after multiple retries, giving up.

Sending to him in outlook works fine

How can this be fixed
