Bring back support for less secure apps -app password broke sending of all emails!!
1 the. App password is broken for OSX mail version 4.6
* One cannot send any email at all. Some mails appear to be received ok. Attempts with turning on SSL makes no difference.
2. The above problem is evident in more than one yahoo acct.
3. It is systemically broken
4. Gmail still directly supports less secure app sign ins WHY CAN'T YAHOO?
5. This was all broken on or around April 3rd
6. BRING BACK THE LESS SECURE APP OPTION BUTTON -
7. This change has killed the work flow that has worked seamlessly for the last 16 years (2004)
8. Users have device and workflow reasons for using less secure apps - we are fully aware of the potential risks. Yahoo breaks things for users under the guise of security meanwhile - their own house is responsible for many security breaches 2016 etc
9. The code for turning less secure apps has already been written - just turn it back on!
10. This change was not made to fix any USER problem
11. THE LACK OF COMPENT TESTING OF THE SOLUTION BEFORE PUTTING ONLINE AND FORCED UPON USERS THAT BREAKS THE SENDING OF ANY AND ALL EMAILS IS A BAD BUSINESS DECISION - *** TIME TO SELL YOUR YAHOO STOCK TODAY ***. AGAIN
