AUTOSAVE - Bad problem!
Starting in Oct 2020, Autosave isn't working properly. Yahoo saves a new draft email, but later changes made to that draft don't get saved. Even when I wait 30 seconds or longer before closing the draft - to give Autosave a chance to work - it still doesn't save my changes. So when I open the draft again later, the original text is still there but the changes I made have been lost. I'm using a Fujitsu laptop and a Huawei Smartphone. The problem occurs on both appliances.

Rosemary found a workaround: my applauds to her!
But it is an inconvenient one and not a fix. My workaround is this: not hoping that the draft will be saved automatically on the ESC as before but sending this "draft" to yourself. You will be able to access it from both mobile and laptop devices. It would increase the traffic (which I was trying to avoid) but makes it useful (more or less).
Yahoo, How about fixing this long-known problem? It is already 1/19/2021, but problems with saving draft on the laptop and trying to look it up on the mobile app screws it up.
Unfortunately, some problems pop up with some of the updates and it takes a while for them to be fixed. Need more testing before releasing the updates.
I do not see comments from Yahoo. Wondering if they are watching this forum or just letting us figure it out and exchange the ideas between ourselves?

My own comment: A few hours later, I've figured it out. The Autosave works properly provided I use ONLY my LAPTOP -- my later changes to my draft email are properly saved. But later, if I open that draft email on my SMARTPHONE, those saved changes suddenly disappear. Finally, I open that draft email again on my LAPTOP -- those saved changes have now been dropped from the laptop, too. This is clearly a problem with the MOBILE PHONE APP, not with the laptop version of Yahoo mail. This app problem started with the Yahoo app update of 23 October. My interim solution: I'll open my draft emails ONLY on the laptop, make my changes there and close. I won't open my draft emails on my phone.
