Themes and Backgrounds: Yahoo compared to ???
When the first painter painted the first portrait, other painters did not close their eyes forever so they would not see the craftsmanship that went into creating the portrait. They looked to always improve upon the way the portrait was created for the person they painted.
Your Developers have the ability, and are allowed, to look at the public facing...
- Google Themes and Backgrounds
- AOL Themes and Backgrounds
- any company as example 3 for Themes and Backgrounds
I continue to be shocked the selection of Yahoo Themes and Backgrounds is so small. And there is no excuse for not allowing customers to upload their own image as a background.
If your Developers are lacking creativity, or if they think 8 colors is just fine then hire someone to sit next to them, to tell them daily...
Anything less than 500 shades of color and options is not Professional. It's actually Grade School Art Class and an 18 year old can be paid $20,000.00 to be that creative.
Quick win suggestion: Do someone thing about the templates and backgrounds. And please make sure the look nice with Safari, FireFox, Edge for desktop and mobile devices. (I know there are apps for mobile devices. But your apps like Yahoo Mail and Yahoo aren't even aligned doing the same features and functionality.) :-)
I still love my Yahoo!
Sincerely...I'm a pain buttocks because I know everyone has the knowledge and skills to do it. Just gotta find that pride in it (unless they are being beaten down by corporate who does not care.)
Peace out.
