Yahoo & AOL, stop telling us to click on unsubscribe links in obvious phishing emails. These links can be malicious, so do the needful and listen to your customers.... UPDATE THE SPAM BLOCKING FEATURES AS SO MANY HAVE REQUESTED AND ASKED FOR!!! WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Today I received 28 emails, of which 26 were solicitations of one sort or another. I'm disgusted with this. I question why I'm paying $5 a month for this service.

Based on all the spam emails I have been getting lately, along with the constant barrage of advertisements trying to get me to sign up for Yahoo's subscription mail service, it sure is suspicious that Yahoo is either inept, or intentionally failing to block spam mail in order to push people to sign up for a subscription that supposedly will do a better job of blocking this garbage. Just a thought, but tired of what appears to be a complete lack of effort by Yahoo to block spam mail. It should be easier for Yahoo to see this trash and get rid of it.

Spam! Spam! Spam!
I started receiving a tremendous amount of spam over the last month or so. What's going on? -

I can't get what comes to my inbox to stay in spam. I block all junk mail senders, but they send me 1,000 per day....I want this to stop!
Many times I click unsubscribe, but they tell me after ten days and in the mean time they send 5,000 more of the same ****! -

Yahoo Mail began about 6 months ago marking incoming emails from organizations with which I have subscriptions as Spam. Also marking political organization email as Spam randomly (including mail from elected representative official mail accounts). Is this a feature or a bug?

The spam filter sent several emails from a coworker to the spam folder. These emails came from the SAME DOMAIN AS MY EMAIL. Same small business account. How could these have possibly been labeled as spam?

Based on the number of spam emails I am getting and reporting to Yahoo, it seems clear that they are no longer even attempting to filter spam email unless you sign up for a pay service.

The SPAM blocking features are a weak and need to be updated for Yahoo & AOL since they've partnered up and use the same platform.
There was a response from Yahoo & AOL support about SPAM that read...
Yahoo... We automatically filter suspected spam messages, but if you’re still getting overwhelmed with emails mark them as spam or unsubscribe from mailing lists. Additional information can be found here: https://help.yahoo.com/kb/sln28056.html
Thank you!
Mail SupportAOL... Here's an article with more information on how to control our spam:https://help.aol.com/articles/aol-mail-spam-and-privacy
DO NOT CLICK ON ANY LINKS.... THE UNSUBSCRIBE LINK COULD BE A VIRUS, MAILWARE OR A TROJAN... THIS IS HORRIBLE ADVICE FROM SUPPORT... A EASY WAY FOR YAHOO & AOL TO NOT DO THE NEEDFUL AND FIX THE REAL ISSUE.
I'm thinking of closing my Yahoo & AOL email accounts because they aren't listening to legit CUSTOMER CONCERNS!
WTF!!!
Here's one example of why we need wildcard blocking for domains & users, look at these senders that send me over 100 spam emails a day; I block them and they make a slight adjustment to the domain name and keep the spam rolling...

The fact that emails in the "Bin" folder are permanently deleted after a week is incredibly frustrating. Sometimes I don't realise I need an email until well after a week but it's too late by then. This time limit should be optional - I'm sick of having emails pile up in folders because I'm too worried they'll be important at a later date.

I am not a tech so do not know how to stop this. Could Yahoo increase the amount of emails we are able to block to infinity so we can continue to block all the spam? Not really the point though. Would be better if we did not receive them period. Any thing that could be done to stop this would be fabulous and really appreciated. Thank you!

WTF Yahoo???? The spam **** is out of control & to help me you want me to pay for an upgrad support plan?? Seriously?? Spam Guards Suck!
Your "Tech" buttons are bs and and endless loop
How about helping customers without forcing them to sign up for another ****** plan to get more spam -

1) Spam features are a critical aspect of any email application, this not being a selectable feature to provide feedback for is a heck of an oversight
2) Your spam filtering is abysmal and seems to only get worse with time
3) Despite allowing the same kind of spam day after day, known contact email gets sent to Spam for no apparent reason. Please fix your whitelisting
4) I don't experience these issues with gmail (or even the hotmail account I don't use anymore; y'all really can't compete with _hotmail_?
5) I would have gladly voted hundreds of similar "ideas" that you've already closed. Close this without addressing it and I will stop using Yahoo altogether. -

Block sender options is not available if the name contains an emoji. I get spammed by random websites, the emails go to spam folder, fortunately. But I can't block their email.

It's pretty ridiculous how you let users mark things as spam OVER AND OVER AND OVER yet, you still put the known spam in our inbox AND then have the gaul to try to charge us to block it. Get serious.
