To help detect phishing display sender email address directly
Hello,
This week, I was expecting a package and received an email from a carrier asking me to provide my contact details.
The sender's name was consistent, the email was well written, and the website I was directed to looked professional. However, this was a very sophisticated phishing attempt.
An easy way to detect it would have been to notice that the sender's email address didn't match anything: kdh123@gmail.com
Unfortunately, nowadays, on a PC, the email address is only displayed when you put the mouse hover over the sender's name.
To help detect phishing attempts, could you display the sender's email address right next to the sender name?
This would allow us to quickly check that the name used matches the sender's address without having to take any specific action.
This would greatly help to prevent phishing attempts and protect users. It is also a very simple way to help people detect these attempts.
Thank you in advance for helping us protect ourselves against these threats.
Sincerely,
Yannig
