Option to view the assigned folder for a message when searching
When I'm searching through all the messages in my email (usually trying to sort and filter certain messages to place them in their appropriate folders), I desperately miss having the current assigned folder show on the quick view. It is a really quick way of knowing whether or not all of the messages were moved to the requested folder and also if I inadvertently put a message in the wrong folder.

When I search for an email, I can't find which folder it is in, so I don't know where I should be moving these emails or delete them. It's so hard to navigate and use this new layout. If I'm searching for an email from a store, it started showing big icons of "your package is on the same" from emails that were sent out months ago. They also take over half of the page. The information displayed here is useless. The actual emails I'm looking for are showing at the bottom of the page, with only three of them showing and I have to scroll to see the rest. This new design is just useless and wasting our time

I use folders extensively, they are an essential part of my daily workflow. Being able to see which folder a message is in is critical for me. In the old web client, it was simple to search for mail and see at a glance if I'd missed moving something into the appropriate folder. Now I can't see which folder a message is in, even when I have that message open. This loss has made Yahoo! Mail much less useful for me. Please fix this!

Not sure if Rachel saw the November 14, 2024 request for screenshots, so I just sent them to the provided oasis.mail.feedback@yahooinc.com email (as of 2025-02-11).
So hope progress can be made on this suggestion, as it would be a big improvement.

UPDATE: I got a reply back from the oasis.mail.feedback@yahooinc.com email on 2025-02-12...."Hello there,
Thanks for your participation in our Uservoice forums AND for providing screenshots. We responded for screenshots back in November, but since then we have already understood the request. This has been a popular request from our Community and we are working with the right team to see if this will be added AND how long it might take.
As soon as we know more, we will update the thread!
Thanks again!

@Vladimir-Mihai: yes, at least that's what happened to me. I was casually using my Yahoo mail when the page refreshed to this new awful version and the box I used to click to get the old version back other times was gone. I'm stuck with this unfinished monstrosity, uuugggghhhhh

same! I find it funny that customer care asks for a screenshot example but we can't share the old look, that we all liked, because Yahoo removed it. I, too, am going crazy trying to figure out what folders I've put things in and what is already there and what is still in my inbox. It's seems like a key component to an email system. For the Yahoo Mail team, see how Gmail does it with labels, it's basically the same thing and it's missing in this new, not-improved version of Yahoo Mail.

In the Inbox and other folders, once I had replied to or forwarded a message, an icon indicating that would appear by the message. Now I have to search on the subject to see whether there is a newer message. This is a really basic feature of an email client, and needs to be restored.

This is absolutely critical. I've been driving myself crazy trying to figure out what folder email I've searched for resides in. Why would this have been removed in the new look??

Same! Additionally, searching with "unread" includes all previously foldered (but not read) which means I can't tell the difference between unread emails in my inbox or unread emails that I purposely put in a folder. very confusing.

Hi Rachel, not sure we're completely following! We definitely want to understand. Can you email us a screenshot of what you're referring to? Or give other type of details or steps? We're trying to replicate what you mentioned above, but not sure we are on the same page. You can email us at oasis.mail.feedback@yahooinc.com.
