unable to move emails from sub folder to inbox

i can move emails from inbox to a subfolder, but if i make a mistake i cannot move from a subfolder to inbox. drag and drop doesn't work nor does ticking the checkbox and clicking on 'move to inbox'. it doesn't work in standard or basic yahoo versions.
This includes the spam folder which now has some emails incorrectly put there by yahoo's filters from my bank that i cannot move back to the inbox.

    I can move email from spam into inbox by clicking the not spam icon. At least I hope it's working every time I do this. I am Win10 and FF browser. What I can't do is move a message from the Sent folder into any other folder unless I open it which should not be necessary.

    I saw an earlier message that said to "hover on the left edge", but that doesn't work either. It's really frustrating.

    To be clear, in chrome and firefox under win 10: DnD works from Inbox to subfolder but not from subfolder (inc Spam) to Inbox.

    i just tested this in chrome (v133.0.6943.99) and it DnD doesn't work there either. I'm on Win 10

    Also DnD doesn't work from the spam folder either. Restore to inbox function does.

    i'm afraid i cannot show you what is going on with a video as my personal email is not going on a public forum.
    Somebody just changed something because 'move to inbox' action after ticking the checkbox now works when it didn't a few mins ago when i submitted this, but drag and drop still does not. you are left with check box ticked even though you didn't tick it and the mail remains where it is. i can DnD from inbox, i cannot DnD to inbox (i'm using Firefox 135.0)

    Hi there, thanks for letting us know! We tried a few things:
    1. We moved an email from Inbox to subfolder and it worked fine (like you mentioned)
    2. We then moved same email from Subfolder to Inbox (Move to Inbox) and it worked fine for us!
    Can you email us a video of what you're seeing to oasis.mail.feedback@yahooinc.com?
    And tell us what browser you are using?
    If you have it sent to Inbox Categories or Not?

    You cannot move mail items from Inbox to any sub-folder, either via DnD or Menu option. (Chrome)

    I don't want the new default view because it is horrid. ASllow customization, please!
