There is no gear icon, or any other way to exit Settings in the new Yahoo! User Experience.
Also, I was repeatedly asked to sign in again in order to post this bit of feedback. Do you perform any QA before releasing these changes?

If you are having sign in issues with this forum, this is an issue on Uservoice, not us. This is a third party app that we use for the feedback.
As for the Settings gear icon, if you tap on three dots Settings will open along with Spam and Trash, if you tap on the three dots again you can exit. If you click on Settings, it will open a whole new tab. Thanks!
