Number of emails
I use to love to see how many emails I have in the inbox. That helped me to put a date to file or delete some.

Hi Laura, you can see the number of unread emails by hovering over the Inbox on the left hand side OR expanding the left hand navigation and the unread count will be listed next to Inbox. Hope that helps.
