Draft emails just delete while you are working on them
Three times I have been writing an email and suddenly yahoo just says your email has been deleted. It just happened to me 11:47am 6/20/25 AZ time. I am so frustrated. I don't know why this happens and how to stop it.

Hi Jolene, we've been trying to replicate this issue and we haven't been able to, but we still want to debug and investigate. If you're still seeing this and it's easy to replicate, can you please send us your browser info, browser version and a video of this happening. Please send to oasis.mail.feedback@yahooinc.com. Thank you for your help!!

Hi Marcia, we keep seeing this reported, but we can't seem to replicate. It's working fine for us. So can you please email us at oasis.mail.feedback@yahooinc.com with your browser, browser version and a video of this happening? This would be super helpful. Thank you!

I am so frustrated when I'm responding to an email it completely disappears. It also happens when I return to an
email draft to complete. I'm just typing, not backspacing or anything!! There's no way to recapture the draft!!!!!!
I've tried looking in the trash, spam and back to draft file to no avail. Please include a way to recapture a draft! -

Your insanely stupid keyboard shortcuts on the web interface just deleted a draft email I was working on for 30 mins. Ridiculous. Stupid cursor keep moving every time I tried to backspace, edit, add / etc. Then finally poof the email disappeared never to be seen again (e.g., not even in the trash). I need to get a new email address - more reasons showing why Yahoo sucks!

It's happened again. I was writing a detailed email, full of references and links, and I touched something on the keyboard and it disappeared. Completely. It's not in my drafts, not sent, not anywhere else.
Do you have any idea what I touched that deleted it? Do you have suggestions for protecting emails that are in detailed progress?
I see in the help section that draft emails can't be recovered. Is there another place I can save them while they are in progress? The only way I can see to do it is to periodically send the email to myself and eventually send it to everyone else.
Thank you for any help you can give.

I will be typing and my email draft will all the sudden disappear and be deleted. Is there a way those can be saved and I can get it back?

Add don't auto save drafts as an option. At times I lose my draft as it is deleted somehow between going back in later & editing & the auto save feature closing to the Draft folder. I have to then start over. It is not found in the Draft folder or Trash. I tried to turn off all sticky keys etc... Didn't help. I changed browsers and didn't help.

I have accidentally deleted at least 5 draft emails from my draft folder while I was trying to edit them over the last few months. Maybe there is a problem with my keyboard, but when I'm in a draft email and use the delete key to remove some text, sometimes it just deletes the whole email from my draft folder. And, I guess because it's a draft, it doesn't go to the trash folder, it's just GONE. I've lost easily 6+ HOURS of work because of one keystroke doing something it's not supposed to do. I don't know if I'm an isolated case, but is it possible to make it slightly harder to delete a draft? An "Are You Sure?" pop-up box? Just making the deleted draft go into the trash folder for a week instead of evaporating instantly would be a huge improvement (pretty sure MS Outlook does this).
Thank you,

Darn it!!!!!! Was in the process of writing an important email when a box kept asking, every few seconds, if I wanted to "leave the page" or "stay on the page". In each instance I checked "STAY". After a series of this message, the EMAIL DISAPPEARED INTO OBLIVION. IT IS NOT IN THE DRAFTS, SENT, TRASH FOLDERS!!!!!
What are you people doing? Is this your way of destroying what was a well-functioning service? Thank you for continuing to "improve" on this mess.
