Return to Classic Mail
Go back to the original Yahoo. This is terrible. Why do I have to click on the 3 dots on the bottom to get the Spam and Trash Folders. They should be on the top with the icons for inbox, etc.

I've been using Yahoo mail for decades (yes, really). In all this time I've steadfastly refused any of the "new" versions because they've all sucked, changing for the sake of change far more often than improving usability by any metric. This time you've completely removed the old, reliable interface and given me only the choice between your latest "new" version which completely sucks, or a slightly older "new" version which sucks slightly less and which I rejected in the past.
GIVE ME BACK OLD YAHOO, DAMMIT

please make going back to the basic interface an option. I tried the new one years ago but went back using the /b/ option in the URL. Now you've forced the "new desktop" on me, and I have tried it - I still don't like it because it does not suit my style of working. I have tried your interface a few times over the years when providing support to other people using your interface.
/B/ (basic) allowed me to do the following:
1) - select emails without the list autoupdating.. each autoupdate clears ticked boxes/ radio selected emails which I might have planning to delete, or move.
2) - right click open new tab each email - having more than one open at time allows for my reading style, but most importantly allows me to copy text from one email to another (highly relevant for many reasons)
3) - having the folders always visible on the LHS allows for navigation
4) - the new interface might suit tablets or similar devices but is not ideal for PC type use.
5) - I don't mind change when it is an improvement - this is not an improvement for my usage model.I'm sure there are people who like it - but I am struggling with it and will most likely move away from your web interface (and associated ad revenue) if I can't make it work for me.

I cannot use this new Yahoo mail, and I will be switching everything over to some other email carrier if you don't allow me to see my email in PAGES. I cannot work with one long page of endlessly scrolling. It is not how I organize my email, nor my thoughts.

not enough people changing their email over to the new yahoo - so you make the old version paid only?
That is entirely shady and complete ******* ******** - i will be chaninging and forwarding everything over to my gmail account and never using your email again except for spam. So congrats you lost a user -

My idea is just leave our email alone. Don't mess with something that works just fine. We are already bombarded on a daily -- sometimes hourly -- basis with insults and assaults on our institutions and rights from the Highchair King in the not-so White House without having to cope with some battery of changes that you all think are a "good idea" that "will make our lives easier" when in fact all your "improvements" will do is cost us time and frustration trying to figure them out and reconfigure our email systems to fit into your preconceived notion of what is better and/or best.
So just stop it. Leave things as they are. We have all gotten used to things as they are. So for God's sake just let us live with things as they are. And if you must fiddle with something, go try to improve on your user interface. -

Keep the classic view with dates on the right side.

This might be a general login issue, but Yahoo, in its infinite wisdom, doesn't make it easy to give feedback for that. So here goes: WHO WAS THE BRAINIAC who designed the login page so that, when you enter the user ID and you are prompted for a passkey, when you click "try to log in some other way" (bypassing the key), an error page is shown and you are asked to try again later? I DON'T WANT TO TRY LATER, I want to log in with my ******* password. The only solution was to remove the key. **** if I ever use a passkey again.

I got a notice today that I have to switch to the new yahoo setup. I previewed it before and it was awful. So I switched it back to the old view. Now im being told I will have to pay for the old view? I'll be switching all my accounts to Gmail now. Sometimes you should not change a good thing.

I don't need, nor do I want, the right-hand side bar. It does nothing but take up space and I should be able to put whatever I want on that side (new email box, starred messages (like now), calendar, reminders, or nothing and have emails spread across whole screen. I see you're trying tobe like gmail, but I can pick what I want with gmail.
