Return to Classic Mail

Go back to the original Yahoo. This is terrible. Why do I have to click on the 3 dots on the bottom to get the Spam and Trash Folders. They should be on the top with the icons for inbox, etc.

    Go back to the classic version - it just works. The new version does not.

    If not, I'll have to migrate to another service.

    I absolutely HATE, HATE, HATE, the new Yahoo Mail Version. Please restore the Classic/Old Version ASAP......... If it's not broke, don't fix it. Put it back NOW.

    This instantly solves:
    . Differentiation Between Unread and Read Emails
    . See Number of Unread Emails
    . Please add an empty trash and an empty Spam button Thanks
    . Make Trash and Spam Folders More Accessible
    . Reply/Forward Arrows to emails do not show in the Inbox
    . The "Drafts" icon no longer shows the number of active drafts
    . Colors/Themes - The gray background of read e-mails
    . ABILITY TO MOVE SENT EMAILS TO INBOX

    The origin of my idea: When Yahoo Mail suddenly changed to "New version", it occur to me that this was only some kind of test. It did not look like done to me. It was apparent that most of the functions were gone, and also there was NO GRAPHIC. So it instantly kinda reminded me of Yahoo Basic Mail. That's basically a bare minimum mail. Like a 90's mail. But guess what! It does have all these functions that are now missing in "current version" which most of people list they are missing.

    So, I just did this: on the left pane, I clicked the three dots - selected Settings - there from the options on the left I selected "Switch To basic Mail".

    The Yahoo Basic is very plain. Yes, all the advanced functions and the graphic are gone, but at least it's neat and clean, you can see all your folders, there's the unread dot, there's button to epty Trash & Spam without even going inside the folder, there's select all visible at all times, the subject line has subject line only and not only half of it + the inside text of the e-mail, and it's not all grey with the gmail rounded edges. Talking about gmail, I am not switching to IT. That solves nothing. But, looks like I will be sticking with the Basic version of Yahoo Mail.

    Because if this happens now, who knows what will happen in the future?
    I am an older desktop user and I don't need today's kids to redesign all my favoriet websites to adapt mobile phone look to get a raise for creating twice space for ads.
    I'm tired of all their experiments.
    I stay with Yahoo Basic Mail in peace.

    This is absolutely horrid, why any company would force an inconvenient/unattractive/useless feature on a dedicated userbase is beyond me.

    Bring back the old UI, stop forcing it on consumers, and let us use dark mode with it.

    I'd rather not switch my primary email source to google after over a decade with Yahoo - but it's things like this that make me want to.

    How do i get the old version back? This new version is not equipped enough for my daily tasks for work. Please advise soonest. Thank you!

    agree i like the old version better...I dont care for the appearance...I cant find things....took me 3 days to find my folders......I cant delete multiple things at once....like I used to ..it said all before ...now I click one by one ...not liking this at all....also it is slow ....

    Switch to basic Yahoo Mail

    If you're using New Yahoo Mail, click the More options icon Image of the More options icon in Mail. | select Settings Image of the Settings icon in Mail.. If you're using the classic version of Yahoo Mail, click the Settings icon Image of the Settings icon. | select More settings.
    Near the bottom left, click Switch to basic Mail.
    Click Switch to basic Mail again to confirm."
