Return to Classic Mail
Go back to the original Yahoo. This is terrible. Why do I have to click on the 3 dots on the bottom to get the Spam and Trash Folders. They should be on the top with the icons for inbox, etc.

Terrible. I click on an email, and it deletes it because you decided to put those options right on top of the message when you put the arrow over it. I DO NOT need a brief of what the email is about. I can read it! Hate it.

I am unable to determine if a message was forwarded. Since I forward about 70% of my email to others this shuts me down. I am seriously thinking of starting the transfer to a Google account. It will be a difficult transition since I have had this Yahoo account for many years.

Yes, go back to classic. This new version is terrible!!! hard to read and navigate. Too bright or too dark. Poor visual contrast. I can't click on the email file itself and scroll down.
Please revert or give the option to choose classic. I am an individual with vision issues, and this is making me want to migrate to another company.
1300 negative responses to your new style of email ought to tell you how bad it is. Looks like Gmail which is terrible/

The new version hides the spam button so it can fill up with unnecessary junk. I was able to delete this spam messages in the old version without have to look for the spam folder hidden in the ... file at the end of the folders list.

your new version is an abomination -- especially for seniors. The black background is difficult, the format is complex and difficult to use and totally distracting. Keep it simple. Therer is nothing positive about this new version. Take me back to where I am comfortable using yahoo mail.

Can we please go back to the old version? The new version is distracting and unnecessary. Simple is best.

Hate the new version. Too many distracting elements on the screen and all the wasted space make it a pain to read. Removing all the personalization options makes it totally impersonal. One of the most frustrating deletions is the ability to switch between two Yahoo email accounts with one click as I was able to do before. I'm transitioning to another email provider, but it's frustrating that I have to spend so much time forwarding saved and important emails.

Dear Yahoo Mail Team,
I imagine you have already received plenty of negative feedback regarding the new Yahoo Mail version, but I feel compelled to add my voice to the conversation. Unfortunately, the new design is not only less functional but also feels like a step backward.
The previous version (not the current basic version) was excellent—it was intuitive, well-organized, and efficient. Key functional icons were clearly visible and placed in logical locations. For example:
The Settings gear was conveniently positioned in the top right corner alongside other frequently used icons.
Essential functions like Move, Delete, and other action buttons were prominently displayed above the email list.
Navigation arrows for Back and Forward were clearly visible on the top left.
Stars were positioned before each email preview, making them easy to spot.
The folder list was neatly arranged on the left side for easy access. This layout made Yahoo Mail superior to both Gmail and Outlook in terms of usability. However, the new version has either removed or hidden these essential features, making basic email tasks cumbersome. If users want to browse news or shop online, they will visit Yahoo.com—Yahoo Mail should focus solely on email functionality.
Additionally, the new color scheme is harsh on the eyes. While Outlook uses color effectively, it remains subtle and unobtrusive.
I can’t help but wonder if the designers behind the previous, well-structured version are still involved. The current redesign suggests a disconnect between the development team and actual user needs. Unfortunately, this version of Yahoo Mail is a major step in the wrong direction. Maintaining the previous version would be a far better choice, and I believe users would greatly appreciate it.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
