Return to Classic Mail
Go back to the original Yahoo. This is terrible. Why do I have to click on the 3 dots on the bottom to get the Spam and Trash Folders. They should be on the top with the icons for inbox, etc.

What idiot at Yahoo thought it would be a good idea to force this new heap of poo upon it's users without and option to say "NO!!!" ?

How to go back to a more classic version.
Start on your yahoo email page. Click "..." at the bottom of the list of options under Inbox on the far left of the screen. Then click "settings". It should take you to a new screen. Halfway down the list on the left is an option "Switch to basic mail".
Hope this helps! -

Why are you copying gmail? I used yahoo mail because it WASN'T like gmail. I might as well just delete my account and use my gmail at this point. I hate the new update, its not user friendly, its messy, its cluttered, its ugly, and its annoying. There are better ways to be innovative and using AI is lazy and we should be able to turn it off.

I agree, all emails are lumped together where before it was clear what were new vs. old emails that you kept in your In-Box. Why are companies obsessed with change? If it ain't broke, don't fix it. We are not impressed with change when it makes things worse.

This is also listed at the top of our Uservoice forum to help (Tips), but those who say it looks like Gmail, you can disable Inbox Categories under your Settings and go back to having just one Inbox instead of All, Priority, Offers, etc. Just go to the three dots on the right side, Settings, Personalize Inbox and toggle off Inbox Categories.

I echo all the comments here and am seeing userboards all over the internet about how much people hate this new update. If you want to change the look, fine, but bring back the functionality. Defaulting to an arbitrary "priority" designation that you picked (not us) makes no sense, I can't see how many unread emails I have (or even how many are in my inbox) and it takes me twice as many clicks to do anything. There is also a TON of wasted space around the actual listing or place to read my emails.
Not sure what prompted this update or what it's trying to solve, but everyone I've spoken to so far is really NOT pleased and are thinking about closing their email or abandoning it. If this continues I may be forced to do the same even though I don't want to do that (I think I've had this account for 20 years) -

New email suite is more resource intensive, lags more, constantly is nonresponsive and requires multiple refreshes even on different browsers. It looks awful with only two brands of painful colors to read instead of having any hues for the peripheral vision to relax against.

Hate this!!! Frustrating!!! Go back to the classic!!!! At least allow us to have the choice!!! Why change something that was perfect!! If you don't allow us to go back. I may have to leave yahoo.

After 25 or so years of using Yahoo if its not changed back to the classic I'll just go somewhere else. What is the **** point of changing to a new UI that looks infinitely worse than what has worked great for decades.

This new version is HORRIBLE. So clunky. The Compact view is NOT compact. And why take away the option to revert to the classic look and **** people off? What were you thinking? Yahoo doesn't have to be a gmail wannabe. Be yahoo. Bring back the old look. The new look is lame and nonsensical!
