Colors
Please restore my old format of the Yahoo Mail. Please restore the colors, design and everything as it was. I can't distinguish between new mails and ads, there's no structure, everyuthing seems just a bunch of mixed trash in an Inbox. UGLY UGLY UGLY and worst of all, confusing and non funcional. Please restore my Yahoo Mail, especially the INbox with its format and design

1. the slider in the columns is almost the same color as the column and surroundings - hard to see; need to create more of a contrast. 2. My folders often have long multi-word names only distinguishable near the end. The folder column needs to be wider or be variable in width. 3. I haven't verified recently, but many of the filters designed to automatically route designated email senders to specific folders never seemed to work properly. Maybe I just wasn't setting them up properly.

In my opinion, the new layout feels too corporate and bland, so I think you should add background themes, the way the old yahoo had little backgrounds you could choose from. It was a nice little touch to make it feel more personalized. In addition, it would be really nice if you could choose from one of your own photos to make the background instead of there just being preset options, but backgrounds at all would be really nice

Whose stupid idea was it to eliminate colorful themes and replace them with that horrible bright white or unreadable dark? What possible good could that serve for anyone?
I've stuck with Yahoo! email for almost 30 years. This is going to make me move away for good. Colors make our world beautiful and our work more pleasant. That horrible grey-white makes me miserable every time I open mail. Why would you do this? "You're not allowed to have colored furniture or walls anymore. All of your furniture will be light grey and your walls will be a bluish color at the edges. Or they can all be black. That's it. Stop complaining. You still have a place to sit, right? There's no reason anyone would need any other colors."
Have some sense and think about people for a change.

Under Light Mode (too light) or Dark Mode (too dark), there needs to be an inbetween like dark colors around the edges or border and lighter when you select emails and view in the reading pane. Otherwise, it doesn't suffice just having 2 options.

Please bring back the mailbox colors and themes! I have multiple emails that I toggle back and forth between and having different colors would help me to recognize which one i was in.

I noticed that in the "Apperence" setting, there is a dark mode. I like that better. BUT, when I'm looking at mail, there doesn't seem to be a difference in the color of the line item. I can barely see that the text isn't bold, like on unread mail.
If you could make the whole line, not just the text, different, that would be better. Maybe give the ability to change read email to a different color. -

Bring custom colors to the new Yahoo Mail, just like the old Yahoo Mail had! I don't want to stare at a black and white screen! In the old Yahoo Mail, I had everything set up exactly the way I liked it, and then you had to go and mess it all up without warning!
Maybe I should switch to Google; they still have custom colors!

This new Yahoo Mail is absolutely terrible to look at! Light mode is too bright, dark mode is too dark, and there are no settings to adjust them. What's more, the black and white theme looks boring! In the old Yahoo Mail, I was able to customize the colors so that my inbox looked aesthetically pleasing and not too bright or dark, but now all of that is gone! Please add more appearance settings to allow for more customization, or, better yet, BRING BACK THE OLD YAHOO MAIL!!!

Maybe Yahoo's "new look" looks okay on smart phones, but it looks awful on a PC. Bring back Themes, and the option to make it look like the earlier, better version.

You used to be able to have color themes and other color options as recently as yesterday. I hate the limited choices of dark vs light view. I used to have an email view that was orange. Please fix this.

I absolutely hate the updated Yahoo Mail desktop interface. This redesign is not an improvement. It is a significant step backward in both usability and accessibility, and it is genuinely frustrating to use.
One of the worst decisions was removing the Themes that Yahoo Mail previously offered. Why take away a feature that allowed users to personalize their inbox and choose a color scheme that was actually comfortable for them? We had Themes. They worked. Bring them back.
The current appearance options are completely inadequate. Light mode is painfully bright, Dark mode does not properly translate email content and creates its own readability problems, and “Go with device” appears to do absolutely nothing. Those are not meaningful choices. There needs to be something between glaring white and an improperly rendered Dark mode. The old Themes provided that flexibility, and removing them has made the interface significantly worse.
Even more frustrating is the loss of control over the layout. I can no longer arrange the panels to accommodate how I actually read and manage my email. Why remove functionality that allowed users to customize their workspace? Instead of giving users more flexibility, this redesign forces everyone into Yahoo’s preferred layout whether it works for them or not.
The entire interface is visually overwhelming and unnecessarily difficult to navigate. I should not have to fight with my email application just to find a color scheme that doesn’t hurt my eyes or arrange my inbox in a way that makes sense for how I work.
And what makes this even more infuriating is that I PAY for Yahoo Mail Plus. I am paying for a premium service and somehow receiving a product with fewer customization options and a worse user experience than I had before. What exactly am I paying for if Yahoo can simply remove useful features, give me an inferior interface, and provide no option to restore them?
I have used Yahoo Mail for years, and this is one of the worst interface “upgrades” I have experienced. It feels as though Yahoo prioritized making the product look different rather than making it better. Removing useful features and customization options is not an upgrade. It is a downgrade.
BRING BACK THEMES. Give users meaningful control over colors, brightness, contrast, panel sizes and layout. And if Yahoo is unwilling to restore the functionality that was removed, then at least give paying customers the option to return to the previous desktop interface.
Right now, I am paying for a visually exhausting, frustrating product that is substantially worse than the version it replaced. That is absolutely unacceptable and makes me seriously question why I should continue paying for Yahoo Mail Plus.

Both the new Light and Dark modes of the new user interface are harder to read. It's enough of a problem for me to seek out a different app with which I can interface with Yahoo email.

I HATE what you have done! For starters, you took away the themes! I was perfectly happy with the way things were. You should have left us with more options and choices. Instead, you narrowed things down to the way YOU want them. AND you have done a LOUSY job at it. Yahoo Mail's new look is terrible!
