Go back to previous layout
everything looks the same and it is hard to distinguish between the emails. When I hit a check box the whole column moves and is extremely annoying.
This is the worst email experience that I have ever had.

I've been a user of Yahoo Mail for at least 20 years, and have always appreciated the usability and layout. I logged in today, and saw that the classic layout is gone. The new one is, to put it lightly, awful to look at and to use. The new design looks like a cheap app, like something a developer that was fired from Apple would come up with. Is there any way of going back to the classic view? Thank you!

bring back classic view. gmail has that view and I will move there if you don't change it back. Then all your ad revenue will go to them.
how important is that to you? -

The old Yahoo mail is so much better. Please bring back the old version as an option. We all love the old version much better. Thank you.

Please give us the option to switch back to Classic (basic) email. The new setting is not very user friendly, we much prefer the old setting. Sorts emails better (date) and doesn't blend everything to make it look confusing.

This new yahoo email is terrible. The font size is way too big, can barely see the list of emails, the layout on a desktop screen is a really bad design. Light grey rollovers on a light grey background is almost invisible. On my 42 inch OLED screen, the yahoo email reading pane is inside a tiny rectangle less than 1/8th of my entire desktop screen and when I scroll down to actually read an email, the tiny rectangle gets even smaller with a large chunk at the top dedicated to a header image. Ive never seen such a poorly designed interface before.
Please give us an option to switch back to the classic yahoo email. It was not perfect, but it was way better than this mess. -

The newest theme / interface is awful. Please redo classic mode. No one cares about "mail streaks" or trying to gameify a utility like email. I want it to work and be easy to navigate. Everything about the new theme is bad and uncomfortable to look at.

Dear Yahoo Mail Development Team,
I am writing to express my disappointment with the new Yahoo Mail layout. As a longtime user, I find the new design significantly less user-friendly than the previous version.
My main concerns are:
Too much wasted space: Excessive spacing in email headers and around subject lines means I can see only about four emails in the message list at a time.
A narrow reading pane: The message body is squeezed into a small area, making it difficult to read comfortably.
Too much scrolling: The large email header pushes the actual message body down, so I have to scroll vertically just to begin reading. The narrow pane also makes reading more cumbersome.
Poor readability: Reducing browser zoom is not a reasonable solution for users who need larger text to read comfortably.
I have already tried adjusting the appearance settings, turning off inbox categories, and changing browser zoom. Unfortunately, none of these changes resolves the underlying layout problems.
I understand that Yahoo may want to modernize its interface, but a new design should improve the user experience, not make everyday tasks more difficult.
My request is simple: Please restore Classic Yahoo Mail as an optional layout, allowing users to choose the version that works best for them. If restoring the old version is not possible, please provide more control over message spacing, reading-pane width, email header size, and the number of messages displayed.
Users have different preferences and accessibility needs. We should not be forced to accept a less usable interface when the previous version worked well for us.
I hope your team will take this feedback seriously and consider giving users the freedom to choose a comfortable, practical email layout.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
Sincerely,
A concerned Yahoo Mail user -

This version of Yahoo Mail is very clearly not ready for the public, as evidenced by Yahoo's own publicly posted to-do list. Even when this option of Yahoo Mail becomes as streamlined as advertised, there's no reason to deprive users the ability to revert back to the prior version or opt to use the Basic version instead.

I can't even read emails because the preview screen is blocking everything - this really, really sucks. It looks like Yahoo has FAILED again and will just be another tech company to go under. Tank goodness Yahoo Finance and Sports are keeping the company afloat. Get your act together Yahoo.

You have made far to many changes. I was holding back on signing up with google but this latest change of yahoo has pushed me over the edge. I highly suggest you allow a way to go back to the original version of yahoo I would stay. I will wait a short time to see your answer before I switch entirely over to google.
