Unread v. Read Contrast
The contrast between read and unread emails in this new yahoo is unrecognizable. There needs to be greater contrast or a different color to differentiate between the two. I DO NOT LIKE THE NEW LOOK!

The bold is almost identical to the non-bold, and I cannot tell what is unread vs read. Horrible UX

I do not like the new interface, it's harsh on the eyes, but more importantly it's near impossible to differentiate READ vs UNREAD email. The little dots do not help much.

The previous version of Yahoo Mail made it very easy to differentiate between emails that have been read and unread. The current/new version makes this extremely difficult. The only difference is a small purple dot on the left hand side. Please go back to bolding the unread and not bolding the read.
Thank you

The current text makes it very difficult to tell unread messages from those already read. PLEASE correct that!

Your new layout makes it almost impossible to tell unread from read emails in the inbox. Please make it easier to differentiate them.

Please make the fonts easier to read like the old email, particularly more bold print for unread emails with wider spacing between emails so they don't run together as much. The new email bold print is too close looking to the read emails, making it more difficult to differentiate between the two. The spacing also contributes to this issue. Dots on the side are useful, but it is difficult to retrain to look for dots vs looking for clearly apparent bold unread print. Thank you for your time to read this and have a great week.

I find the new format more difficult to navigate -- the read emails are just slightly lighter in color than the unread. Need to make the difference more clearly visible.

Previously the whole row would be a different color. Now it just looks like its either bold letters or not. Not sure if its a bug or intentional.

With the latest update it is very hard now to see what emails have been read and which have not. Also I am used to seeing the reply show not the original text. Can you make the differences more noticeable? Maybe even a different color? And please let me see it I did a reply. without having to go back through the message.
This is not to say I don't appreciate the work you do. I just have old eyes and older memory.

It is difficult to see the unread emails with the new "Light" or "Dark" them only.

Just having them bold is not enough to make them noticeable. No I would not like to use filters

This new updated version is very difficult to see if message is read or unread.
And a line between days would be great as well, like the previous.
But I need to be able to quickly glance at my screen and see what messages are new and unread compared to already read. They currently are barely distinguishable. -

New inbox only marks unread mail with a small purple dot next to the sender, and the dot disappears once I open the message. The rest of the row looks the same whether I've read it or not, so it's hard to scan for what's new. The previous version darkened the row for read emails, which made unread messages stand out at a glance. Would appreciate this feature as an option in settings.

Visually, I think the newest Yahoo is bright, bland, and boring. We're visual creatures. One bright page of endless emails with little contrast between them is bad design. If you don't fix that, there should at least be a darker line between each email.
To me, this looks like a programmer's idea of an "upgrade," without knowledge of the principles of design or how to maintain a reader's attention. I've worked in advertising for many years. Contrast or variation on the page is basic knowledge even junior-level designers know. I'm disappointed with what you've come up with so far. -

Unread and read messages are way too similar looking - especially in dark mode. The visual information is just harder to parse at a glance. Unread messages should have a different colour background like they used to

It's not as easy to tell which emails have been read and not read. The "bold" font of the unread emails is not enough to make it stand out. Maybe shade either the read or unread for easier visibility

Hello. Here's my feedback.
The standard font for emails is a bit wider in size and it takes more time to view the emails coming in. It takes up so much space. I have to zoom out my browser screen until 80% to see the full email subject. Additionally, the bold for Unread emails appear a bit similar to Read ones we cannot differentiate at one glance. Please make the bold unread mails more visible, considering that some use one main Yahoo mail for all work emails, there will be possibility that other users in will click the mail that is not addressed to them and did not click unread because of neglect and visibility. Human users have different vision capability.

Unread emails in the new view don't stand out nearly as much on the page and it's incredibly frustrating! I hate the new look, the Tip of "Keep Folder Expanded" makes no sense and/or I am too stupid to follow the basic instructions. Either way, this entire new look is awful and I'm beyond irritated that I can't go back to the old look. Why do so many software companies revamp their product design when it was working JUST FINE the way it was??? Just leave the **** thing alone!
