Colors
Please restore my old format of the Yahoo Mail. Please restore the colors, design and everything as it was. I can't distinguish between new mails and ads, there's no structure, everyuthing seems just a bunch of mixed trash in an Inbox. UGLY UGLY UGLY and worst of all, confusing and non funcional. Please restore my Yahoo Mail, especially the INbox with its format and design

Hello. I would like to see the colour and decorative themes that were in the old Yahoo Mail versions, and in addition some holiday themes, night/day, and nature. That would be ideal.

Truly miss the old version and color scheme of the Yahoo Mail.
The dark is too dark, and the light is too bright.
It used to be orange and less harsh on the eyes.
Please change it back! -

You have not made the new one better. I've had yahoo email for at least 25 years. Are you intentionally trying to get rid of old account holders to free up server space? The biggest disappointment is the loss of custom colors and themes. It will be a big undertaking, but I will be moving my primary email to gmail or another platform that allows customization using Yahoo as an archive of my past. Just because you can do something doesn't mean you should. Thinking you have a captive audience or you are too big to fail, remember the Titanic.

What happened? The 80s called and want their emails back. Choice or white or dark display? Really, that's the choice? Some upgrade! Also I have to keep clicking away that annoying right hand pane away.
Long time Yahoo user, not impressed.

Please at least bring back the custom background options? Not only is it completely irritating to try and do basic tasks in the new layout, it's also very boring. Seems like the whole purpose of this upgrade was just to make the advertisements bigger and shove them in our faces while decreasing efficiency and lowering the quality of the user experience. (By the way I am in my 20s and work in graphic design/marketing/media) so you can't just write this off as an 'old person' who does not know how to use technology. It's unbearable to go through my inbox on the desktop version, The clicking is so sensitive and freezes and opens up other emails instead of simply selecting a box. Also in the older version it was easier to see and organize my emails into their folders - It was all open in the left so I could easily drag, it's such a pain to even delete emails from my inbox. Why in 2026 are we going backwards in quality and service?

What happened with the option of having different colors in the layout like YMail had prior? Just black and white is boring. Or am I just missing that setting somewhere?

The new layout is too bright white but the dark mode is also not easy on the eyes. Not a fan of the new layout but what I really miss is being able to have themes and colors on the page instead of stark white or black.

Please allow the email background color to be changed from grey - it is a horrible color.

I don't like the appearance of either the Light or Dark modes. It's difficult to see the difference between read and unread emails. The light is too white. If I could shade the background a little, that would help a lot.

Backgrounds or themes enable the differentiation between email accounts where you have more than one

This new format is very hard to read/see emails. Please add some definition that is similar to what was available before. I cannot differentiate which email I am looking at or what is new or has been read. Very ******* the eyes and not an improvement.

different color would be nice and a normal size window to view the **** email, the window is to small, you dirtbags shouldn't have changed it, and it's not easy to to tell if the message has been read

The actual light and dark mode options are dreadful and make reading and seeing emails very difficult. Please for the love of god bring back some of the old themes, layouts and appearances. Or at least create new colour schemes, font choices and designs so we can adjust our inboxes to our preferences. The emails were perfect before. I don't see why you felt the need to fix something that wasn't broken. A completely unnecessary change.

The Light theme in the newer version is way too bright (even at lower brightness). Dark theme is appearing heavy on the grey end instead of black (even OLED screen doesn't add any depth to it).
Documents attached in mails to be opened (as preview) parellel to the mail itself, (without cosing the mail), same as the previous versions. -

The New Yahoo Mail does not offer themes or options to change background on a desktop. However, those features are available on the mobile app. Why???? It should be made available to ALL subscribers. It's not just for an aesthetic reason or personal preference. It is also for those of us with light sensitivity. The desktop version needs to offer softer, low-contrast tinted background options for eye sensitivity, beyond pure white Light mode and black Dark mode. I cannot believe that this wasn't taken into consideration when these changes were arbitrarily made.
