NEW EMAIL AND UNREAD IN DARK MODE HARD TO DIFFERENTIATE
In the new version of Yahoo Mail, any read and unread messages in dark mode are so hard to differentiate. It was better in the older version.

two issues with the forced usage of the new yahoo, which i dont like...in black mode i can barely see the 'bold' highlighted emails that are new, in comparison to the white color of the read emails...also, i do not like that it automatically catagorizes my emails into All, Primary, etc...im human, and i forget to check both...and its anoying...
there, im done with this in-depth critique

The bold in dark mode for unread emails is not distinct enough to see an email is unread. The dot on the left is not enough either.
Please highlight the entire row or something to better distinguish unread from read emails. And yes, I know I can filter by unread emails, but clicking an extra button is inconvenient and I'd like to be able to see my read/unread emails at a glance when I land in my inbox. -

I am in dark mode on my PC and with this new layout, it is very diffifult for me to see which emails are read or unread. There is a distinction and I can see it if I look closely, but it isn't obvious and figuring it out impedes on my time. Also, why is there no option to revert to the old format? I may want to get things done quickly and not be a guinea pig for your "improvement testing"

After the Yahoo Mail update, when using the Dark mode it became much harder to distinguish Read emails vs Unread. It's using the same font the same color, only the thickness is different.
It's better implemented in Light mode. -

Make the bold more pronounced?

Have an option to have a light background for the reading pane when in dark mode. The dark background makes it difficult on the eyes to read.

The new look is not good, what was wrong with a page that was easily readable? Give me the choice of the old page.

I have a hard time telling the difference between read and unread emails in the list panel, either make new emails brighter and/or read emails darker ( gmail has it right, read emails are much darker )

in dark mode the difference between read and unread emails is too subtle. there needs to be more contrast, for people that don't just filter by read or unread.

Allow the user to select the appearance of text used for Read & Unread messages, as simply bolding the text as it is now doesn't work. You need to be able to change the color and/or size of the text to distinquish the two. Do you people ever work with the interfaces you create before rolling them out. Anyone who tested Dark Mode would have seen the problem immediately!

In dark mode it is very difficult to identify unread email versus read email. Please change the font, boldness or background color to help with this. a lighter gay background color would be very helpful

I hate the new email appearance so much. It is stressful for me to read this inbox. It is very difficult for me to read.

It's a problem... viewing the Inbox in dark mode, the difference between unread email and read email is nearly impossible to discern... they look the same! Yahoo, you have been working on releasing 'new' Yahoo mail for years now. One would think you would have had time to use the I/F in dark mode, notice the glaring problem, and fix it. Sorry for ranting, but I hate being forced onto a new version of software that is not ready for release.

Light mode is too light, and dark mode is too dark and very difficult to understand which message is unread or not. Please fix it, and add the choise to personalise with color theme, to better suit everybody needs.

Hello, The new mail layout is good but the dark mode grey color as the main screen is not a good choice. Its does not look good. Either give us more dark mode options or make the gray more black.

For users like me who use dark mode, it's very difficult to tell apart emails that I've already read vs ones that are unread because the bold white text (for unread emails) doesn't stand out enough vs the regular white text (read emails). I have to rely on that small purple circle towards the far-left of the row which does work but it'd be way better if they were easily distinguishable based on the entire row's text style or color. For example, you could make the entire row background a bit of a lighter color to indicate that email is read. I think it would also help if you added an option to change the style/color of the text within the inbox because the difference between bold and regular white text is just not drastic enough.
The old inbox style did not have this problem but it seems like I cannot switch back.

In dark mode it is very difficult to tell the difference between unread and read mail. In light mode it is more evident and much easier. Maybe in dark mode show unread with slightly lighter background color as the bold font does not show up well.

Unread mail on the Dark Theme needs to standout more.
Perhaps lighten the background unread mail rows - bold text on Dark Themes do not stand out as much as on Light Themes. -

Currently, its very difficult to tell the difference between the two. I had to switch to light mode as a result

I have a dark theme and I can't distinct read from unread mails. I know there's a purple dot on unread mails but visually it's horrid.
