Please put the location on the headline in Yahoo News
Hi, could you put the location on the headline. I sometimes have to look up locations by whatever media source mentioned. For instance, The headline states "Florida pastor," but he was in Tennesee. That was never mention, I just knew Murfreesboro and Rutherford County.

news article headers
It would be helpful if each news header indicated where the news is...such as state, city, etc.....I know that probably 50% of your news headers do indicate this info, but the other 50% is ambiguous at best......it can be confusing, and alarming at times.......thinking I'm reading about something disastrous that seems to be in my local area, only to discover after reading half of the article that it's somewhere else.............simple fix, if you ask me.

Pop up ads
The pop ups when you open a story block the beginning of the story. Says scroll down to read the content but still miss the first couple paragraphs of the article. I understand the need for advertising, but what's the point if I can't read the content I am there for. Also the pop up ads that play sound even when not on my screen is extremely annoying. This is a rare disorder but is not limited to kids only. I am 65 years old and received this painful "surprise" in 1992. I have tried many treatments but the side effects were intolerable or the medications just quit working after awhile.

Stop the fly down videos.
I found that many people hate them. We bypass the main video because we don't want to see it, then as we scroll down, a smaller version of the video is shoved in our faces. It is a useless piece of garbage that probably nobody wants, but the website programmer decided he/she wants us to have it. I searched for a way to stop them but there is nothing. I found a website that was filled with complaints from others who want the fly down videos stopped. They are intensely annoying.

My idea is yahoo needs to fire the lameass people that avoid hearing from readers like myself. Get off your ***** and grow a set , stop being cowards and listen to what 'REAL' people have to say.The entire format with the non stop unwanted intrusive ads is just that. Anyone wanting to read an article must endure numerous clicks of -NEXT- followed by more nonstop intrusive ads over and over and over........just to get to page 2 of 50. I can appreciate your reasoning for stopping your Yahoo members from entering comments .. But what I would like to see is a Thumbs up & a Thumbs down. This would serve two purposes: 1. ) It would allow the readers to judge where their perception (opinions) are in regard to other readers; and 2. ) It would allow the author/journalist to judge how her/his efforts are received by the readers. The thumbs up/Thumbs down would take up very little memory and not require an extensive amount of coding.

Change the name “Yahoo news” to “Yahoo Opinions”
I would suggest changing the name “Yahoo News” to “Yahoo Opinions” because you do not report news, you opine on events, you try to influence the news. If this is what you choose to do, that is your choice, but to claim that what your write is ‘news’ is misleading at best, and outright dishonest at worst
