Rosters/Lineups - Increase maximum number of roster slots.
This change would increase the maximum number of roster slots your league can have (not including IR slots). Currently the maximum is 30 roster slots.

My friends and I play in Deep A.L. only and N.L. only leagues. We have been waiting for four years for Yahoo to add a option for larger roster sizes.
Right now it is 35 max that includes D.L.
We however play with 25 starters and 15 man benches. 40 man rosters. Like real MLB teams do.
We all prefer Yahoo to all others out there hands down. But we have had to let someone else run our leagues. They have 40 man rosters. Plus 8 D.L. spots that isn't included towards the 40 actiive rosters.
Please Yahoo next season consider allowing 40 man rosters and 8 D.L. spots. For us hardcore dynasty players out there. We by far prefer larger deeper rosters.
Thanks.... -

Yeah and the endless NA slot frack-up could be avoided with dynasty leagues just storing their prospects on the active roster.
Granted fixing the NA slots are better for us because having a healthy FA pool is good too and all the active players could be scarfed up in those leagues as a well. But a better Plan B for us than NOT ever having the NA slots fixed and losing our prospects or some vets every freaking year..

A dynasty league would be much easier to manage on the site with 40+ man rosters. Please give commissioners the option to increase roster sizes.

40 is ideal. The current maximum of 30 players is too small, especially for us in dynasty leagues!

Many of us play in 50 player leagues! Would love the ability to not have to use another service to create a league where teams are 50 players deep. I was about to start a league at the break but saw that the max roster size was 37 so I immediately deleted the league and created it elsewhere. I still think Yahoo has the best interface, but the minor league player pool and roster size are severely lacking.
Thank you!

Agreed 100% with this suggestion. Understanding you can expand via DL and NA, why limit the "active" roster to 30?
It seems like Yahoo uses this 30 number for all sports -- football, basketball, hockey and baseball. But it makes little sense to apply this "one size fits all" limitation to baseball, as many leagues enjoy expanding active rosters beyond 30, often times to 35-40 roster spots.
Please expand the active roster limit to something much greater, say, 50! At the very least, this gives each league the option to decide how deep they'd like to go. Should be an easy fix, and it's really holding Y back from being a "deep" and "expert" league competitor with the likes of CBS, Fantrax, etc.
Please increase the limit ASAP!

There's a significant number of feature requests that would be resolved by allowing the maximum possible roster size to be 50 instead of 30. Allow commissioners to set this number and to determine the distribution of position types.
This would allow a commissioner to:
* Have 24 active positions, 6 BN (for leagues that want a Yahoo-traditional size roster).
* Have 13 active positions, 12 BN (for leagues that want a daily fantasy-sim type configuration with a 25 man roster, e.g. 8 position players, 1 SP, 4 RP)
* Have 25 active positions, 15 BN (for leagues wanting a 40-man roster)
* Have 25 active positions, 15 BN, 10 NA (for leagues wanting expanded minor league involvement)The rationale I've seen for the 30 slot maximum has been to manage the player pool ***********. Yahoo shouldn't make this determination for every league; that is a decision that should be at the discretion of the individual leagues and commissioners.

During the season, the real major league roster limit is 25. The only time it is 40 is when the call ups happen on 9/1.

just like real teams. (the maximum is currently 30.)

If you don't like the settings in public/standard leagues, then simply create a private league with your desired settings!

Then start or join a custom league. I have 27 roster slots. 19 position/8 bench.

Yahoo should expand standard team rosters to 25 players like MLB. 23 slots makes no sense

Why are rosters limited to 30 players??? My keeper league starts 13 hitters and10 pitchers, with 3 DL slots and 8 bench slots. That isn't uncommon at all, but exceeds the limit by 4 players! This is going to keep a lot of commissioners from choosing you over CBS or ESPN.
