[Chat/Message Boards] Message Board Removal Feedback
Fantasy league message boards are no longer available but you can still access historical message board posts through your fantasy profile. Moving forward, we're investing in Fantasy Chat as the place for league communication and urge you to check out some of the recent improvements we've made like adding threading and pinning with polls coming soon.
Check out the following post for additional improvements made to Fantasy Chat: https://bit.ly/3UQbvew

We have used the message board to discuss rule changes, weekly recaps, use for historical records, take a poll/voting. I love to reference this. Every year I go back to it, cut and paste our Keeper Rules for example.
Please reconsider bringing it back.

Why must this be either/or??!! Communication is at the core of these leagues. You just took one away. Maybe you should/have to do this for public leagues given the vile comments I"ve seen there. But NO reason to eliminate for private leagues. This reduces communication. And forcing me as commissioner, at request of the league, to look at other sites for our league...after 21 years on yahoo. Sux. We used the message board for voting on rule changes, tracking details of trades, recording for prospective rule changes for next year, historical context, among other things. Who the heck does Yahoo talk to in making these decisions?? Certainly not league commissioners. Very unsettling. I have not used Fantrax but some of the comments here sound good. I guess I will need to review.

DUMB IDEA! Our league uses the mesg board for league updates and reminders for FUTURE and PAST seasons and other various reasons! So much that this most likely will force us to find a competitors site!
IF ITS NOT BROKE DONT FIX IT! Hard to believe people actually get paid to come up with these dumb ideas! Don't change for the sake of change! And if you have a hidden agenda for doing so...SHAME ON YOU! -

Absolutely terrible.. why would you do such a dumb thing...

One of the stupidest decisions along with Bud Light and Target. My Owners are having a great season of MLB Fantasy at FleaFlicker. With all of the money gained by Fantrax from this dumb decision they have improved their site. It's impressive and I plan on moving my Football Leagues there. I don't know why anyone would be loyal to a left leaning business like Yahoo who stifles free speech they don't like. Good riddens!

I cannot overstate how absolutely crucial the message boards were to all my fantasy leagues on Yahoo. I am extremely unhappy about this decision, and I have a feeling that most of my league mates will feel the same way. To me, the chat function and the league message board had two completely different purposes. The chat function was more for keeping in touch and maybe trash talking. The league message board was essential for communicating critical league business. Anytime we considered any changes to statistics or the overall set-up of the league we would use the message board. A perfect example where the message board helped to solve a major problem was last season when the game between the Buffalo Bills and Cincinnati Bengals ended up being cancelled due to the serious injury to Damar Hamlin. It happened during the fantasy playoffs and the message board was pivotal in determining a solution. I suppose we will be able to achieve the same type of communication with the chat function, but I'm afraid that it just won't be the same. I implore you to change your minds and please bring the message boards back. Thank you!

Absolutely HATE the removal of the message boards. Our league will be switching to Fantrax next season if things don't run smoothly this one. We used Message Boards religiously for the last 12 years our group has had Fantasy Football and Hockey leagues. We may have actually started in 2010.

We went ahead with Yahoo for baseball after you took the message boards out. It's required us to make a league page on Facebook, thereby driving traffic away from your site.
I want to keep things 100% local and all in one place, so for football season, we're going to migrate our league over to a competitor.

Why in the world would you do this??? Any logic behind not having your league chat on the same page as your other league info? Would love to see the slide deck on this proposal...

Everything is screwed up on Yahoo FF. Messages, I don't need to beat this dead horse, others have gave their concern, to which there's no response. There's no more pre draft player rankings, which I've used for 20+ years on here just in case I miss the draft. Very disappointing Yahoo, but apparently it doesn't matter what the masses think or express concern over.

So you want feedback, yet you apparently don't listen or read them. Bring League Message back.

I Agree with Mark Gonzales, Jeff & Paul gerlach, etc. in that Chat is a bad idea, Makes it useless/impossible for the COMMISH/LM to communicate with the League in an official matter. It also makes LIES, DEGRADE'N PEOPLE OR VULGER LANGUAGE GO UNCHECKED with the COMMISH/LM no power to delete such messages like they could on the League Message Board.
U are now the only Fantasy Leagues with NO LEAGUE MSG' BOARDS.............BAD, BAD, BAD, NOT GOOD! -

Chat only is a bad idea. We utilized Message Board to track ideas for next season, weekly prizes, etc. - keeping it in separate topics. Chat won't be able to do this for us. Please bring it back, thanks!!!

We used chat for offline drafts. What is your solutions to the mess you have made!

Please add the message board back! The new league news feed is makes it impossible to communicate. It makes no sense to have league moves, chat and everything all in one scrolling list. There are many topics I used to post on the message board that were organized/easy to find and up there as long as necessary. BRING MESSAGE BOARD BACK!

I've made all FOUR of my leagues aware of the new chat function. Our preseason chit-chat is under way but it's all done via the mail function. NOT A SINGLE PERSON HAS USED THE CHAT.
Please bring back the message board.
