Don't tell me you have ads to keep yahoo free. If I submit, per your request, that the ads offend me then do as you promise and remove them from my profile. Pretending to care does not cut it. Do what you've said, remove these illegal ads and do better.

Please make the "Show less" option "Show None"
Show Less should become Show None from a specific publisher. When I chose that option it really doesn't seem to have any impact on content presented for that publisher

I have TIRED of seeing a great portion of the main page, endlessly, reporting on the vapid posts, especially, of celebrities or the 15-minutes of "fame" wannabes, about what new swimsuit or, barely, there clothing they are showing-off. I couldn't CARE LESS!
Or, any more stories about which celebrity baby-daddy or baby-momma drama is occurring - ENOUGH!
Get back to doing some stories - even light-hearted or humorous that isn't focused on people starved for attention that they do anything; but, focus on some everyday people or events.

In the past, I relied on Yahoo news for positive news. Now I feel like I am at the grocery store looking at the Enquirer or other junk mags that post celebrity news. Stop the anti-gun propaganda. At least have some balance when posting opinion pieces, which is what you mostly post, not just what fits your agenda. Try to possibly stick with real news using real statistics, not cherry picked data.

'Unsubscribe' pop-up gets annoying real fast
Please add an option to disable the 'Unsubscribe from unwanted newsletters' feature, or at least add a way to hide addresses that I want to stay subscribed to. I'm subscribed to about 20 newsletters and I want to keep reading them. I don't need a reminder or help.

No videos in place of top news stories
I am not happy that you have replaced the bank of top stories with cheesy human interest videos that--even worse--autoplay when I load the page. This is ridiculous. Please bring back the top news stories, in text format, not video.

You have a lot of good articles but because they are "sponsored" articles they are nothing more that time consuming click bait and switch which by the second click I have lost all interest.

Get rid of the "sponsored" segments. They are usually baits for tons of ads. Like the rag sheets like the Enqirer.
Do away with those "sponsored" segments. They use ridiculous stories that are only bait for a ton of slow loading ads. You are becoming the rag sheet of the internet. A digital Enquirer. Do you really think consumers like all that **** enough for the advertisers to get their money's worth. I personally avoid anything "sponsored" as if it was contaminated with the plague.

Add video autoplay disable choice
I do not want to waste all my mobile data on the videos that download and autoplay before I can turn them off. Sometimes I am in a quiet place and want to check my phone then up pops an article with a video and sound. Scramble to turn volume down, look around embarrassed.... Please just give us an option for autoplay disable.
