My Holdings - pick currency for the actual cost of a USD stock
This is very important for us users outside of the US. I would like to be able to put the cost of a US stock in EUR to calculate my accurate gain.
Let me give you an example: I purchase a stock worth 100 USD let's say 82 EUR on that day. 2 months later, stock value is back at 100 USD, however this time my stock value (100USD) is worth 84 EUR.
Yahoo finance would see no gain (stock value still 100 USD) so total gain will be 0. However, I do have a real gain (the difference between 84 EUR and 82 EUR.... so 2 EUR), this is what I am actually taxed on. It also works the other way round when the currency fluctuates the other way.
The problem is that I cannot put my cost for the share lot in EUR, I can only put 100 USD, which is misleading.
So I would like that Yahoo Finance adds the ability to put the cost of the stock in a different currency than USD. This is the only way for users outside of the US to accurately track their holdings. I suppose that you have many users from Canada, who would benefit from this as well.
