There is a calculation error in Yahoo Finance.
Looking at my list of shares in the Home page, I select a share and I am then then taken to a detailed page of that share, which includes ‘YOUR HOLDINGS’ and ‘MARKET VALUE’. At the top of the page the share price is displayed in PENCE using large size numerals.
The error is in the calculation of ‘MARKET VALUE’ which is shown in Great Britain Pounds units and is a factor of 100 too large.
This seems to arise because the share price quoted in PENCE is multiplied by the number of HOLDINGS to give the MARKET VALUE.
The resulting value needs to be divided by 100 to give the MARKET VALUE in GREAT BRITISH POUNDS.
